The reason that Dominick Reyes' career could now be over is that he has one of those noses that, once it has been broken, it is REALLY EASY to be broken again, over and over, in a fight. It got broken right at 2:40 in this fight, and then Jiri Prochazka targeted his nose and broke it early in their fight.
What makes a nose that is easily broken?
@@nl5455 I am not an expert, but it could be a couple of things: 1) If it was never properly "re-set" after it was broken the very first time (in the case of Reyes, it was high school sports), 2) It was broken in such a way that the cartilage never "fused" with the bone the right way, so it breaks really easy.

@@wisewigga7129 Dude, Reyes was very durable, and absorbed strikes fairly well. Once his nose got broken in a certain way, that became his Achilles heel, man. Now, anyone who breaks his nose and then keeps hitting his face with strikes will beat him.

Jan throws a lot of straight, heavy punches while crashing into his opponent. Reyes shelled up almost every time Jan did this, but he does tend to leave his chin in the air while doing so. It's how Santos caught him with a big shot while rushing in. This fight shows he's gotten much better at choosing when to employ that style of offense, but he'll have to hope Rakic doesn't exploit it.

I might have been the only one that knew that Jan would beat Reyes by Round 2. I wish I had placed at bet. I knew he would beat Luke Rockhold, Jacare, Corey Anderson, Adesanya, and Jimi Manuwa.
