Gaethje was a D1 all American who wrestled his whole life, Khabib took him down open mat with conventional takedowns and beat him at his own game. He also owned many BJJ black belts on the ground.

    • @@dsories6219 Yes this is MMA and grappling is allowed, if you have problem with grappling better watch kick boxing or muay thai. On feet or on ground if the opponent gets mauled that's what matters, even in street fight you can't complain if someone smacks you on ground and beat you.

    • He was really good at getting people to the ground and not letting them back up, really awful to watch, but there are some people who enjoy that kind of style. Shame he never mixed it up though like gsp for example.

    • @@alanhock5760 It took you few seconds to belittle his skills, but that guy spend his majority of life to master it. He isn't playing games in the octagon, if the elites are getting overwhelmed by his grappling skills that means he is the real deal. Everyone have his own style, you can't be like Khabib or GSP by just borrowing their style, you need to figure out what works better for you.
