Saw a comment the other day saying Charles was the people's champ and how they miss seeing him with gold. It's good to see someone still has the same sentiments hasn't abandoned the Champ since his loss. Pretty sure it was a top rated comment too. How Charles has transcended barriers and lines and IS the People's Champ How he's relatable in ways that other fighters aren't. How when he wins you win. How he's transcended barriers of race and nationality The people that back Charles back him not cause of his religion or nationality. But because of who he is. Sure there are some genuine Oliveira fans, but never forget most of them are Conor stans who saw their gracing hope Oliveira as the man to topple "Kabob" as the lw goat. It was quiet when he beat Chandler, Porier and Gaethje to some extent, but suddenly Oliveira "fans" appeared out of nowhere when his fight was announced against Makhachev who is associated with Khabib. The only two fighters who have truly ascended the sport are Conor and Khabib, can guarantee you here in Norway where i am from or most part in Europe Oliveira could casually walk in the streets without getting bothered
