This is a big win for Jessica. Lauren was the previous number one contender against Valentina and lasted longer against her than Jessica did and Jessica's last win was a first round finish over the current Strawweight number one contender. Jessica is the real deal and is leaving a strong legacy in this game.

Valentina landed many clean shots but only Andrade made Murphy's face covered in blood. Only Weili & Andrade had more impressive wins than Valentina against the same opponents

Valentina dominated Murphy with take downs, control hold along with punches while in control hold, while standing up she hit murphy with counter punches based on her counter style to then TKO her in the 4th round in the crucifix position. Andrade ripped through Murphy with punches back and forth rights & lefts for 3 consecutive rounds, nothing but punches on Murphy’s face while Valentina had 2 rounds in control hold trying to land a submission when finally she got murphy in crucifix position in the 4th round the referee stopped it when Valentina already strike & elbowing her. It’s self explanatory that Andrade punches took a higher toll on Murphy’s face if that’s All she did was straight punches Lightning her face up for 3 straight rounds. Congrats to Jessica. However Valentina vs Jessica Val took her down 3 times before getting Jessica in a crucifix position winning by TKO cutting the side of her face open with slamming power elbows in the 2nd round. It’s always important to see how a fight measures before leading to the end, it always depends because every fight is circumstantial

If Andrade wants a title shot at Strawweight, then she must be put behind Lemos, Rose, and Marina Rodriguez. She's at Flyweight right now, and has been for a couple of years. So, if she wants the Strawweight belt, then she must defeat one of the top 5, at the least, and prove herself deserving in that division before being granted the opportunity. A lot has happened in the Strawweight division since she's been gone, and it's pretty much the most stacked female division. In my opinion; Lemos deserves the next title opportunity, then perhaps Rose and/or Marina, followed by Andrade.
Andrade just beat Lemos not too long ago though. She has a good argument for the 115 title.

For those talking about the recent Andrade win over Lemos via a standing choke: that's one match. I'm more concerned about overall performance. Lemos has a great statistical history so far, and somewhat greater than Andrade overall. One recent loss, via a fighter who is an ex-SW champ - and currently fighting in a different division - means little as far as I'm concerned. Clearly, and concisely: Lemos is in the SW division, Andrade has been in the Flyweight division. Lemos has more of a direct right to contest the belt. Andrade needs to stop flitting about divisions focusing purely on belts.
I like her as a fighter, but for the love of stand up, teach that women how to MOVE HER HEAD!

That was horrible from both fighters. All Jessica did was the same combination over and over and somehow didn't drop lauren. Lauren just blocked every punch with her face. Women's mma is garbage unless it's like a couple fighters. CUT THE DIVISION OUT ITS TRASH

Murphy had no business being in that cage with Andrade or anybody off the street for that matter. Lauren doesnt have it anymore. She has no take down power and its clear that age has caught up to her. I honestly thought she was gonna take off her gloves, she should have at least. Shes a warrior in the sport and tougher than nails but she cant keep taking beating after beating every time she steps in the cage. Lets be honest though. Andrade is an “ok” fighter, she basically beat up an old lady. No disrespect to Lauren but it is what it is. It was an easy win for Andrade from the very beginning. I hope Jessica isnt riding around on her high horse over this win. Wont be that easy next fight.
