If they pull out, they get no money and have to find some way to pay their coaches for the training camp etc. For some fighters, going in with an injury does work too. GSP vs Bisping, Ngannou vs Gane are good examples. If the fighter feels like it isn’t that severe then we shouldn’t judge them for just wanting to make some money and progress in their careers.

  • This is why I absolutely love and respect Bisping. The man knows EXACTLY what it's like. I mean, this stuff happens. Injuries normally happen in camp and not during fights. (Except minor things, obviously) Imagine giving up everything and putting all that energy, time, focus, dieting, etc getting ready for "the big show," and this happens. As a fellow competitor, I truly feel gutted for both sides. I really respect Bisping on how he handled the crowd and had the balls to do it. I really doubt the producers said, "hey Mike? Yeah, go ahead and tell the crowd what's up here because they shouldn't be booing Curtis..." Both of these warriors trained their asses off to try to entertain us. BOTH of them deserve nothing but respect.
