Gotta admit that Adesanyas KO of Whittaker is one of the best knockouts i've ever seen: the flexibility, precision and the way he uses the right hook to align Robert for the left hook is such a cool combination. I remember I went to a sports bar for UFC 239 and was super hyped for the Masvidal vs Askren fight. I followed the story lines and was telling my buddies about them before the fight. One of my friends even randomly called that there would be a flying knee KO on the card. Before the fight started, my boys girlfriend asked if anyone had ever died in UFC. I was like, "Na, people have died in MMA, but never UFC". Then everyone starts screaming and I was like WTF JUST HAPPENED. After seeing a replay of the KO, I looked back at my buddies girl and was like, "Yea he might be the first one to die" 😂 Crazy moment I'll never forget.

Still think the first fight was an early stoppage. Can't be mad at the ref really, but Adesanya should have been respected enough to have to be put down completely before the stoppage. After the adversity he'd pushed through in previous fights he should have been given more of a chance to rely on his toughness and I believe Pereira's punches were losing power by each swing and he should have had to prove he could actually finish him in the moment. Love the drama of the series between these guys!
