Kicks to the face when opponent is down are BRUTAL
Just as much as any kick to the face 🤷🏻♂️ doesn't change anything If you're on the ground or standing up
@@tvojemanka on the ground you can get many in a row
@@tvojemanka That's not true, the lower you have to kick the more power you can exert, just think of how hard you could stomp the floor/kick a soccer ball vs how hard a person could kick something that's 6 feet in the air.
@@5dollarshake263 any spinning kick will have a higher force than any soccer kick, i just don't think it's that much of a difference to not have it in the sport, they took it out only for the ufc to be more marketable to broader audience, there's no science behind it, because the grounded knees and soccer kicks arent really more dangerous than normal techniques that are used in the UFC all the time
@@Aldotronix that's probably true and that's exactly why the sport has referees
Those old pride fights were hardcore
6:20 🤣🤣🤣 ko by chair
Some blasts from the past here haha. merry Christmas everyone
Merry Christmas my friend!
Merry Christmas sir!
Merry Xmas to you aswell
Merry Christmas pal
やたなたはあらた
The ref at 3:00 was about 3 working days too late 😂😂😂 Good job
Yea he was way too far
Also referee came and hit him with a head butt at 3:21. Honestly the worst job I've seen. I know it's a hard job...but everything went wrong.
@@jasondenis24 I didn't even notice the ref headbutt him hahaha. That's proper funny
@Ultimate Ko literally mate. But that's the case for all knockouts I suppose lol
2:55 the ref literally could not have been further away
Dude might as well have been outside the cage
he should be fired, that guy took so much damage i bet he was never the same afterwards
Mu thoughts exactly
I know they are 'trained' to keep going until the ref stops it, but that guy is still kind of shitty.
He was practicing his sniping skills.
I've been conditioned to expect the tall guy getting KO'd. This was the craziest plotwist of 2021.
Stefan Struve Scarred us for life
Mark Hunt is a legendary hero, the short underdog giant-slayer
Not if you would've known who the tall guy was, it's Semmy Schilt who is probably the most accomplished kickboxer in history
@@GerritSalmon He got r*ped by Sergei Kharitanov tho
You don't know Semmy Schmildt? lol
Yair vs. Zombie is still the sickest and most bizarre ko for me, at the last second after losing dominantly and the way Zombie just collapsed was crazy
Ye that was a crazy knockout, i really thought it was a fluke tbf.
I thought he head butt him and the way he fell holy shit, then the replay and I'm thinking that's a knockout I've never seen before.
commentary was horrible
@@shawtop How is it a fluke? He threw the elbow to ko him and he did ko him
@@Johnny72505 read my comment again
Those shogun soccer kicks were brutal!!!
Nothing spreads the Christmas spirit better than soccer kicks to the face
@@andrewgoldin6905 so true 🤣
Kicking him like he was Pele
The Burgos knockout was nuts.
The UFC is basically like the Flood from Halo. It retains the memories of organizations it consumes and kills and can bring them back later when it suits its purposes.
Dana definitely uses the Vince McMahon playbook.
@@natebaxter9551 and apparently watched the movie 21 and realised cause he’s famous and knows all the tough nuts he won’t get his ass whooped for counting cards in casinos lol. Hence why they hate him

@@Bmkg757 And your contribution is?
thank you, kind sir!
Those pride KOs hit different.. no pun intended
Hahaha. Those Soccer kicks
8:04 looked like Dana thought he was dead 😭
That Shogun KO of Rampage was not “Bizarre.” That was a pretty standard PRIDE KO
+Budsport MMA 💯.
People forget how much of a savage Shogun was
I think it was the fact that Rampage seemed to get unconscious but woke up again from another knee and got down again
6:33 The good old times when you could throw someone out of the ring and be declared the winner
Winner of the MMA Royal Rumble.
As long as he goes over the top rope with both feet touching the floor I dont have a problem with it
UFC, how did you know this is what I needed on this Christmas morning?
I love those knees and kicks to a grounded opponent from Shogun Rua to Quintin Rampage Jackson, vintage Pride FC!
nah man this shit too much
@Mezzy Mez soft American McGregor era mma fan
@@mattshandy1612 this ain't boxing buddy. Real fighting. No saving yourself by falling to the ground
should be allowed in the UFC. first rule in a real fight is don't get grounded, and that's why.
@@mattshandy1612 Nothing is too much in a fight most especially in a *real fight*
holy shit.. never saw that fight with Shogun and Rampage.. That's as close to a dirty street fight ive seen in awhile. Those last couple of knees to the face and body.. then like 3 soccer kicks to the orbital. Brutal. Rampage is a G.. took it and stood strong. hell ya!
Shogun broke Rampage's rib early with a knee. He was basically a punching bag for most of the fight.
6:01 dude has my respect for stopping his punch right there
Didnt look like he was about to punch thats when he stopped
@@ahabrawgaming1289 6:00 is probably better
2:42 after the guy gets drummed on the face the ref jumps in to finish him with the headbutt. As if the knockout itself wasn't enough. Talk about being run over, geez.
What headbutt? Where?
@@gokushkameha-ha-ha9344 The ref dunked on him with his forehead.
@@Charismaniac He clearly did not, you're seeing shit.
@@ChristopherGray00 Pay close attention and slow the video down if your eyes can't follow. These things happen in mma. Just like how the ref ran over Aldo with the knee when Conor put him down.
5:00 Shannon has 151 fights, all 151 have been stoppages. There's been accusations of fixed fights.
i can see why that was a weird lookin one
Nah he's Chael Sonnen before there was a Chael Sonnen.
@@JonCollinsMedia only one chael. undefeated. undisputed.
Cool fake story bro. He has 2 dq's and 4 no contests. Be accurate or don't use easily searchable numbers and stats.
yes even Frank Trigg called out Shannon Ritch on mmajunkie radio when he was on about taking dives and fixing fights
That Ben Rothwell one 😂
i actually lol'd
looks like dude hit the hard edge of the chair either with his neck or the back of the head, either way shitty way to lose 20 years of your life
4:50 you usually don't see a guy get lifted off the ground from a Thai clinch knee to the head LMAO.
Most of these weren’t even bizarre lol. The most bizarre part was Ben Rothwell against future Ben Rothwell 😭
That Barboza one on shane was really bizarre, I'm sure there's a genius in here to explain it though
Look up Akira Shoji if you are wondering why he's fighting Semmy, the dude fought everyone.
Thing that disturbs me with mma.. is the hammer fists (like an animal) after the dudes been ko’d can really cause some damage with a opponent not responding
The fighters really have gotten way better since the early days of mma
Pride was real fighting. No bs stalling looking up at the clock and determining the perfect time to hug and ride out a round
@@rawswisher43 how is it a lie when i see it all the time in ufc, where fighters stall... ufc is a damn circus, letting cm punk fight. Not to mention all the early stoppage which the ufc is #1
Rewatch Royce Gracie vs Kazushi Sakuraba and tell me that wasn't a hugfest.
まさかUFCオフィシャルチャンネルでヤノタクのKOハイライトがみれるとは!(笑)
Ugh I hate that shogun vs rampage one... those soccer kicks are brutal 💀
3:21 KNOCKOUT ACTUALLY CAME FROM THE REFEREE
Gotta love these wonky ass throwbacks😂 how awesome. Merry Christmas y’all!
Damn .... That delayed reaction was surreal
Matt Hughes vs Carlos Newton was bizarre
I'm so glad kicks/knees to the head of a grounded opponent are illegal now 😬 you'd have to be sick in the head to enjoy watching that
Also 😂👌 7:30 "let's take a look in real time here" - proceeds to show slow motion replay
Who missed PRIDE FC?
The current RIZIN CEO, Nobuyuki Sakakibara.
Pride was brutal asf
Man is knocked out cold. Opponent proceeds to slam like 15 hammer fists into his unconscious face. Lol. Was that necessary?
super necessary
Keep it coming,..,,.great upload
Gotta love the old soccer kicks to the face of a downed opponent
Shogun was a beast
Duuude. Thank you for this clip.
1:50 brother said " nope, i aint doing this shit no more" 🤣🤣
I didn't even know I needed this today.....but I did
2:43 ref was having some tea or something 😂
7:46 Interesting isnt it how after this, everyone was simply intrigued by how it happened and no one was starting conspiracies. But when Woodley literally gets KTFO with a devastating right hand, a bunch people jump to "it was rigged" conclusions... I think we can safely say the vast majority of fight conspiracies come down to whether or not fans have a strong emotional stake in who wins/loses...
Difference is Shane Burgos wasn't winning millions of $$ for throwing a fight....
@@krynkel please don't tell me you're one of these idiots who thinks the fight was fixed...
tyrone took dive just like askren
@@biigsquid dumbest s*** I've ever heard
@Motts I really dont get your point at all. You do understand that quite a lot of us did watch it right...? lol. It was literally on the main card of a UFC PPV event. That's already big enough right there that people would've discussed conspiracy theories. The reason people didn't tho was becuase essentially all of them weren't as emotionally invested in the way they were for Jake Paul to lose. That is the real reason people claimed tyron took a dive. They never would've if the same KO happened in a regular fight
The last one like "OK let's keep fighting... Oh... Ohh actually I think I've been knocked out" 🤣
Always love that Barboza poison hands KO
Thank you and plz post more of this
The knock out at 2:20 is absolute masterclass
LOL that first knock out..
Prime Semmy was a Monster
now i see why the UFC is the ultimate mma promotion.
I like how UFC shows stuff you can't do in UFC lmao "GREAT HEAD KICK KNOCKOUT!.... TO A DOWNED OPPONENT!..."
A fine display of hitting an already unconscious opponent and mis matched fighters..
gosh i miss the good old pridefc fights 😁
6:26 I lost it when ID card hit him in the face in that state 😂
Merry Christmas everyone!
Damn shame we never got to see a Shogun, Rampage rematch in the UFC at some point.
Man I love Semmy Schilt. Scariest jabs in kickboxing.
Shannon the Cannon got launched from a Cannon with that knee lol
3:06 the ref gets one for good measure 🤣
Got to bring back the soccer kick
Merry Christmas everyone, hope you have a safe and fun holiday!
Love that the UFC is posting more stuff from the Zuffa archives recently
I just started watching ufc in 2020 religiously but they need to bring back pride rules
Hell nah
To be fair, some of the rules implemented later are good. Nutshots used to be allowed. But there arebrules like the no 12-6 elbows, no piledrivers, no knees to a downed opponent, and no soccer kicks which I find really useful in fighting. If you're in a position that you can do 12-6, that means you're already winning. Piledrivers should be good in defending double leg takedowns. Knees to a downed opponent is the same as kneeing a standing opponent. Soccer kicks is just a faster way to end a fight instead of trying to go for hammer fists.
If you want a rule set more like Pride, you’ll want to watch ONE FC. They allow knees to the head of a downed opponent. There may be a few other rule differences (no weight cutting; fighters required to take hydration tests, and no drug/PED testing)
Pride was just so much more fun. Before lighter weights, back when kickboxing was just getting introduced into mma. The ring opposed to the cage. Strikers begging more favored so more viscous KOs. Like cmon soccer kicks, knees to the head, open weight tournaments. I love it man. Cro cop vs wandi 2 this is the end. All I gotta say
History would repeat itself for Shogun later on. The way he was attacking Rampage looked a lot like what Jones would do to him later. Just relentless, creative chaos.
Where is Rampage vs Arona? Thats the most powerful k.o of all time.
Shiauuuuu! Now you're getting it UFC.
Shane Burgos always has a funny way of getting KOed lol i watch him for the laughs
Surprised they didn’t show Mark kerr knocking himself out.
Never hold on to a foot while the other guy is standing.
KOTC Wet and Wild is a great event to watch if you want to see people slip onto their asses
UFC should allow kicks to the face of a grounded opponent.
Nope or ufc will not be famous of the US. Leg kicks to grounded oppenent straight to the head are very dangerous
I was just thinking last night that a fight on Christmas Day would be ridiculously awesome, UFC presents- Deck the halls
Fighting is the only sport where many brains celebrate the knockout of one brain
Chess
Kicks and/or knees to the head of a downed opponent should be illegal in every organization. The *only* bizarre KO on this list is the last one with Barboza vs Burgos
I agree I get so mad when fighters don't restrain themselves when an opponent is defenseless
My best ko i ever saw is badr hari against stefan leko with a back kick
Thankyou Dana
UFC should definitely give us the Chandler vs Gaethje fight for Christmas
Rampage Jackson is very tough. He took so many knees and kicks before going down
I've seen more technical fights at 4am outside a club than some of these, especially the King of The Cage ones
