  • The way Leon set up that head kick was masterful. Switches stance, feints a kick a couple of times to gauge Usman's reaction mixed in with a couple of jabs and a low kick. See's Usman isn't concerned about a high kick and WHAM lights out. That has to be a blueprint for a head kick.

    • @@zoraideale4046 yea, I believe rocky has an amazing trilogy fight. He landed like 80 percent his strikes while tired as shit. There’s no reason to not believe it. I said from day 1 that the altitude totally controlled the fight, which should’ve been evident seeing how rocky slowed down after the 1st which he easily stuffed takedowns 🤷‍♂️. I think rocky is p4p for real!!!

  • The Prochazka/Teixeira fight was absolutely magnificent. Back and forth for 25 minutes. A true work of art. Adesanya also fought beautifully against Pereira but Poatan is something different. Leon landed the best strike of the year. MMA is amazing.

  • The Glover vs Jiri fight was phenomenal. 100% agree with what Joe Rogan said, these 2 guys dragged each other to hell. It's the MMA equivalent of Ali v Frazier's Thrilla in Manila. Izzy vs Poatan is just as crazy, the composure of Alex is just out of this world

Gane loves his heel hooks. Poirier loves his guillotine. Usman fell in love with boxing after training with Trevor Whitman. It happens

  • That Leon headkick...he was an underdog title challenger who was losing the majority of his fight to the dominant champ and then he comes back at the last minute of the last round and lands a perfect headkick that knocked out Kamaru Usman. So inspiring and to see him after the fight face timing his mom and son and crying was such a tear jerker. It's moments like this is why I love this sport.

    • Its never been done before either. Normally its the champion or former champion who rallies to get the late finish, but a first time title challenger? Completely new experience, never happened before. From now on we should this a 'Leon Edwards moment' or just a 'Rocky moment', which is a where title challenger gets a comeback finish on a champion.

  • Connors recent tweet summed up Leon's win perfectly tbh. It was the EVERYTHING of the year. The timing of the commentary, the dominance of the champion, the record for undefeated streak on the line, the corner advice at the end of r4, the literal last minute head kick ko of a fight that he was about to lose, the post fight interview, the backstage footage of him on a call to his mum........Holy shit. It just doesn't get better.

    • @@aanteater861 Cain was rusty after a layoff from injuries and what not and wasn’t prepared for the altitude that wasn’t a good version of Cain in that fight and he was losing the striking because of being unprepared compared to Werdum who lived in Mexico he has his whole camp their preparing for the fight and Cain is originally a wrestler so of course he’s going to fall back to his wrestling if his striking isn’t working because of his injuries and layoff.

  • Glover Texeira...What an absolute legend, and all time class act. To see him brutalize Jiri for most of that fight (and I'm a Jiri fan), only to lose in the last minute. And then to see him as the first person in the cage to lift and congratulate Pereira on his last round title win, just amazing. So glad he's gonna be able to fight for the "vacant" 205 belt in Brazil. Crazy, and unfortunate Ank and Jan fought to a draw, but he deserves this next chance for real....
