  • May KZ have his last fight in Seoul and get one last win before he retires. He's a legendary fighter with a full metal heart, and he deserves to go out on one last fight in front of his people. Bless this man, and all he has done for MMA and specifically Asian MMA. We love you Chan Sung Jung.

    • He’s still a top 5-10 fighter easily. I don’t see a need for him to retire right now after he took so much time off and is still one of the best. But it’s his life, respects to him if he feels that way.

    • @@scarzandy436 He can still make a lot of money and support his family so maybe he could move up to 155, the weight cuts seem to drain him. You only get one body, may as well put it to use while in good health. Seems more of an emotional thing after a loss, than him being physically incapable of competing. But I’d completely understand if he retired, he’s a legend either way.

  • Holy shit, I’ve never felt this bad for a fighter after a loss. Alex asking Zombie if he was sure he wanted to continue right before finishing him, him saying he had to consider retirement after the loss and breaking down crying after Joe left the octagon, then his wife (?) coming in with a really worried look on her face. I’m too young to have experienced most of Zombies career, that’s how long he’s been around, but the bits I saw I really loved. Hoping to see him get one more win before he hangs up the gloves for good, cause this wasn’t even a fight, it was a one-sided beatdown.

    • Yeah, that was his wife, who also left the octagon in tears. I love watching Volk fight but fuck me was this utterly depressing. This really was one of these fights where the odds makers got it 100% correct. This was a massacre to the point where the arena was silent. You could hear everything Volk's corner was saying, you could hear all his strikes. Just really sad to see.

Stuck with him through the Aldo loss, then he had to serve for 2 years and yet he’s done things in that octagon many fighters can only dream about doing. The twister, the 6 second finish, and so many amazing fight of the night performances. Translation of Jung’s last sentence: “I have come to realize that I can no longer become a champion. [If this is the case] I am not sure if I should continue.” Meaning: I’ve fought for 15 years with a vision of becoming a UFC champion. That vision has been shattered today. (Heartbroken) More accurate translation of his initial sentence: “I felt like I ran into a wall [Alexander] that I cannot overcome…”

  • "I was in good condition and wasn't tired. I thought I was ready, but it felt like there was a great wall in front of me. Now I feel like I can never be a champion. Maybe it's time to stop" I've been watching MMA shows for almost 20 years and never became this emotional before. KZ has been fighting in UFC for 9 years and probably this was his last shot to be a champ. His post-fight interview somehow reminds me of our life. You do everything you can do to make your dream come true, but sometimes you realize it might never come true. Then you think maybe it's time to stop. Such an extreme frustration he would have felt there. All his UFC colleagues he fought 9 years ago are now all gone. All retired or kicked out already. He is the only survivor. He is a hero. Hope he doesn't stop there and continues his journey. Deepest respect for Korean Zombie.

    • Not only just that but its a new generation of fighting which sadly is passing by Korean Zombie. Then the military service wasted his prime and made the road to the belt even harder, just unfortunate circumstances. If the military service thing never happened and if he was still young it may have been a different story, Korean Zombie then could have attained a belt.

  • I'm a Korean as well and I wanna tell you guys about why TKZ said it that way. I don't know if you're aware of this but here in south korea, He is not just a fighter but a successful youtuber and businessman by which I mean He's making a lot more money with his business than He does with fighting. I think that's the main reason He said it that way. up until a couple years ago, He had to fight for his family, as a father of 3 kids but now things are totally different. If you're financially stable, you don't wanna keep fighting. I respect his decision and root for his future.

I loved Joe Rogan calling out Stephen A for demeaning the fighters and not turning this into the NBA and boxing where if you’re not Lebron or Pacquiao, you suck kind-of mentality. Zombie: Well, I've felt more confident than ever, my body and my condition was better than ever, I wasn't exhausted either... but it feels like I've come across a wall I cannot pass. Joe: What do you do now... do you go back and reassess, give us your thoughts on where you go from here. Zombie: Right now, it never feels great after a loss but there's been doubt and thoughts of giving up on the back of my mind. We'll see as time goes by but... I'm realizing that I cannot become champion anymore, that's how I feel. I don't know if continuing this career is the right thing for me.

Zombie defiantly deserves the belt for the long career he’s had, but “if you deserve it, go get it.” Sadly Volkanovski was just too much for him.
