Why did Aldo stop leg kicking? Was it from the motorcycle accident?
This was one of the 1st times the world saw Aldo fight on a large scale & after this fight anyone who faught Aldo would drill leg kick defense for the entire camp lol so Aldo started to get taken down lot more from guys catching the kick especially late rds (like in the Hominick is good example) it's why calf kick is so crucial in modern MMA because it's so low u can't really catch it unlike normal ones to thighs

I believe he had hip and knee injuries which caused him to lose that explosiveness in his game. He started fighting more conservatively after a while.
