  • The judge that scored it 49-46 must've been doing the CoCo like Jones. Gustaffson is the true Champ.

    • zen master - mr potato head Many people say its lost and i want the best for Sweden too but its hard to keep Sweden like it used to be with these fucking politicans. Fuck it if people say its lost i will fight for Sweden and i know many will beacuse so many people are tierd of ungrateful fucks like the immigrants they come here and do illegal stuff here instead of their country. And the feminists i dont care so much about. But im a little ashamed of how the new generation of kids in this country are going they are only geeks and just sit infront of the computer and dont go outside or dont go to the gym or anything its a little sad but not all are like that. Sometimes i feel like fuck Sweden im gonna move to Norway instead but this is my country i shouldnt abandon it the immigrants should.

      @albanhagge6066@albanhagge60669 жыл бұрын
  • Personally i dont really care "how close" the fight was because in my eyes and in the majority of the worlds eyes gustaffson won and the judges robbed him of his belt because they probably didnt wanna lose any money which they would have if gustaffson got the belt...so in my opinion the UFC just dropped to a low lvl in my eyes. It now shows how they care more about the money than the sportsmanship....dissapointing :/

  • Gus got too comfortable in the 4th and jones punished him for it. I mean the 4th was the best round so far for gus before the elbow. I still think Gus won though, looking forward to the rematch if he gets past rumble.

    @horslems@horslems9 жыл бұрын
    • If it wasnt for that elbow not even the judges could have saved Jones...

      @aluapzurc2@aluapzurc29 жыл бұрын
    • aluapzurc2 without that elbow gus would have probably won all the rounds imo. BUT, thats what fighting is all about, to hurt the opponent, even if it is a "lucky" shot. Jones did what he had to do, he is creative and came up with a plan B like a champ should do. I dont think he can land an elbow like that next fight though.

      @horslems@horslems9 жыл бұрын

Jones dominated Gustafson up close and landed some very hard shots, many of which are omitted from this piece so it is difficult to judge using this that Gus was totally dominant

      @turtles6610@turtles66109 жыл бұрын
    • ***** You know what else isn't scientific fact? "Oh his face looks more beated up so therefore the other guy won hurr durr". Gus did out-land in the 4th but Jon landed more significantly, rocked him, and was unloading with no response. Gustafsson also ran and was clearly in survival mode. Thats a 10-9 for Jon. And even through out the round, Jon still had Octagon control and was never not defending or attempting the counter strike. How about the even more numerous professionals who scored the fight for Jones including the judges, Dana White, Glover Texxiera (who was in the building). And why is it that the majority of people who were vocal about him having lost the fight were fighters in his division? Possible bias? lol Just admit it, you watched the fight with rose-tinted glasses, and you were gassed up by Joe Rogan's theatrical analysis. Jon was so dominant in his fights that ANY and EVERY time he got hit or taken down, it was seen as a huge accomplishment and gave Alexander credibility. Look at the fight as a fight. Jon won. Barely, but he got it done.

  • I was really disappointed that Alex Gustafson lost the fight coz I was really looking forward to the rematch but at the same time it's a good thing coz if makes the LHW division interesting. If jones beats Rumble Johnson at least we get to see the re-match later on down the line coz I believe Alex has that eye of the tiger factor to bounce back even stronger than his loss to Phil Davis. But I'm looking forward to see Jones vs Rumble Johnson, curious to see what game plan they have for each other. What game plan do you think Rumble has to implement against Jones??

  • Three things I want to note here: 1- The war between Jones and Gustafsson didn't started by nothing. Jones started disrespecting and underestimating him. 2-Gustafsson is not a saint, not Jones either, both are somewhat overconfident and taunt frequently 3-The fight result wasn't neither a Robbery nor a marketing plan. It was a mistake by the judges who got impressed by the end of the 4th Round, merits to Jones for applying that elbow but his performance wasnt consistent enough to get the first, second and third round, although he was better in the last ones. I rally for Alex, but both are awesome fighters.

    • Well gus was actually winning the 4th round jon only won the end of that round. His only dominant round over gus was the 5th round I still think gus won even joe rogan said jon may have to finish the fight I believe people/judges look at the last rounds as more of a comeback so they tend to give the comeback fighter the win.

  • I hope Alex doesn't underestimating Anthony Johnson. Rumble is a pretty tough guy. It'll probably go a 5 round decision.

  • Gustafsson has to use more tools like Leg Kicks, Elbows. If he uses leg kicks, spinning elbows like jones, I guess he will be very tough to beat. He has evrything else . Hope he will take care of those for the next fight against jones. It will be complete different fight.
