Cool discussion. Im'a add my 2 cents. David Warner, opening batsman for Australia bats left handed, but can do both and has made big scores in First class matches batting the opposite way. I dont just mean for a few shots, or mid ball adjustments like a reverse sweep, I mean taking guard the opposite way. For reference, to those who dont know cricket, this is more akin, skills wise, to a boxer being fluent in SP and Orthodox 50 years ago than it is to switch hitting in baseball. Hagler was a nightmare because it was so rare to do both so well at the time for instance. Its so difficult to achieve in cricket also as the field is set, the bowler's hand and line considered etc based off your initial stance. So it may throw the bowler off, but it would mean you'd have to not just be aware of the fielding positions, but more importantly the defensive angles, hand/head positioning, and footwork you'd need to face a ball spinning 5degrees off the pitch, or balls at 150kmph. If a batsmen switched each 'over' back and forth and with solid defence, pundits would claim it borders on unfair play, even though legal to do so, as its such an anomaly. Other batsmen can do it, and even some junior cricketers ive met, but to do so at the high level of international cricket is beyond any sport I can think of in regard to ambidexterity.

I think the rules can be change a bit: -Competitors should be ready to use both hands in case something goes wrong with their main or for the opponent to alternate chicks. -The one who starts has a huge advantage so the one losing CAN choose the hand his opponent start with. -Fouls should give the opponent a 10+seconds recovery time to force the one at fault to not make a fault ever again.
They get 2 minutes for fouls instead of 30 seconds
