For those of you who don’t know, one of Holloway’s biggest adjustments to try and catch Volkanovsky coming in with his head down was to angle out and throw an uppercut combination. One of TKZ’s best attributes is his counter striking ability, and he frequently uses an uppercut combination to deal with shorter wrestler types i.e. the Frankie Edgar fight. It seems like they’ve been drilling to deal with Zombie’s likely response to his entries. I wonder if TKZ’s team has anticipated this and curious to see how it plays out during the fight.
