Yes, Jamahal seems like a cool guy, good father, and even his loss was badass! Glover is gracious, positive, and really busted his ass for years until he could reap his rewards! This is kinda like Jan/Glover, two great guys.

Isn’t it hypocritical for Glover to say that he planned on fighting Jiri, Jan and Ankaleav but refused to fight Ankaleav when UFC offered him the opportunity for the title? But he didn’t hesitate to accept a fight with Jamal Hill that is lower ranked than Ankaleav?
He was willing to fight Ankalaev in Rio, not in december. Ankalaev got his shot and did nothing with it.
They offered it to him like days before the fight and ankaleav is a completely different fight that fights with the opposite stance… why would glover risk that when he’s probably a few fights from retiring. That would just be stupid.

Meanwhile Glover had the training and preparation advantage over Ankaleav but he refused to fight Ankaleav because he knew Ankaleav will maul him. Glover only wants to fight Strikers without wrestling background pedigree for the title, hence he accepted Jamal Hill -a striker ranked below top 5

For ankaleav it’s a win win because he is offered a title shot when he’s not supposed to have it lol, even if he looses he will be given another shot soon because he took it on short notice. Again why would glover risk it when he’s already guaranteed a shot, why risk loosing it all when your so close to retirement
