And that wont simply work because he has excellent head movement and footwork. He will start throwing body shots after the head movement and throw an overhead knockout, otherwise he'll take you down if you get too close. His grappling is even better than his striking lol

Volks is at the tail end of his prime. Anyone who says Volks could fight and could dominate for as long as he wants just don't understand OR don't appreciate this extremely physically and mentally taxing sport, where hits and misses are in microseconds & by millimeters... This is a sport where youth, agility, and optimal athleticism will almost always triumph against experience, if both guys are more or less equally good in their craft... And that is why up to this point, no one over 35 has been able to win the belt, or to retain it, against an elite, prime opponent, from the 145 to the 125 divisions. From 170 to 125, for men (the more refined circuit), only 2-3 guys 35 or over.... in 32 - 33 fights..... have been able to win the belt, or to retain it, in championship fights.

For sure, he doesnt get the respect he deserves, most question the quality of fighters hes faced in the UFC FW , yet if you look at their combined UFC record before meeting him it was of 23W 1D 3L. And he has finished them all with crazyl superiority, he has yet to lose a single round in the division.

Ilia is unpredictable with his boxing. I feel just like the calf kick, fighters will be willing to incorporate this side of the game into their skillset which is the 4-6 piece combos. I haven’t seen any fighter, at least recently, who can skillfully pull off a 6-piece combo with such power. Chapeau!
