His low kicks are CRAZY. It makes damage in every single hit
Did you see Jans leg grew a rabbi face lol
@@bloodbath3658 and Jan is probably the best leg kick checker in UFC.
and he doesnt turn the hips like everyone, hes kinda throws it straight and then curves it last second. hes legs kicks looks like he is just stepping forward. Everyone else´s leg kicks looks like a leg kick.
And no one can have a sparing partner to emulate that, because only Alex has this low heel kick technic, since he developed it himself.

I'm Brazilian and this is the best ufc translator by far
Chama ou não chama?
Alex often uses a Word that sounds like 'põe" or something, what does that mean?
@@samueljimenez2002 "Pow". It's a slang word in Portuguese. Basically used for everything sometimes without feeling any just because of each person's mania. for example. If I say Poww, it was my mistake. Sorry! (the pow would have meant sorry, even though I apologized again at the end) Now if I say. Pow bro, you shouldn't have done that (that sounds like damn). No has a specific translation or meaning. It can mean anything or not mean anything, the person uses it just. Not to mention that because it is slang, it can be written in different ways, such as poww, po, pô, each one writes in a different way. Brazilians speak with a lot of slang and each region has a specific slang that we don't even know each other. English and American types have different accents. aq in Brazil has more than 5 accents. I don't know if it was clear, but I tried to summarize.

Im not Brazilian and even I could tell that guy knew exactly wtf alex was saying word for word. That fool has straight pizzazz 🤌
Best interpreter in the game for sure.
True, I am an Interpreter, this guy has an amazing memory!
The Goat
So true, I found it hard trying to listen or understand the guy he had interpreting for him, I think it was one of his trainers, and he was probably yelling the entire time so his voice was shot, not trying to hate but it helps for the fans and audience to understand and follow what's going on and what's been said.

I was worried about his cardio, especially on elevation. I’m glad it held up.
He has Good cardio better than jan
Should be worried about his grappling
He even reacted after the third round. Thought like there’s 2 more lol

So many observations from this fight: - Jan clearly felt Alex’s power, hence the constant takedown attempts. - Alex dominated on the feet, R2 and R3, especially that end of R2, which with another minute could’ve been gnarly. - Alex has developed his TDD by leaps and bounds. R1, he was down. But the other rounds, he displayed massive improvements. - Alex has a good chin. He got clipped by Jan a couple of times, which hurt Reyes and Luke really really bad. But Alex held up strong. Shows how much the weight cut affected him earlier. My heart breaks for Jan, a fighter I truly admire. But Alex won this fight.
He also said that he wants the LHW belt and the the izzy rematch on 185, that will be stupid, he should stay at LHW
I feel like Alex never raelly BOMBED Jan with insanely bad intentions like he was throwing in the Adesanya fight.
JAN WAS ROBBED EVERYONE KNOWS IT
@@whacklp6120This, he was cautious of expending more energy as Jan came to wrestle and even restrained himself from pouring it at the end of rd 2 where it looked like Jan was fading.
Alex in comparison to the Izzy fight looked slow . LHW is a much tougher division and more competitive . Who would win Jon Jim’s or Alex both at Light heavyweight? 😂

weight cut was a factor he got a granite chin in LHW if he focus on head movement he will be unstoppable
He actually has incredible head movement.. see footage of him sparring, he is one of the best in that area.. part of what makes him an excellent counter striker. He stays still at times because he tries to bait people in, its the same reason he has his hands so low
@HellBlazerMNE07how does having more head movement make his punches weaker? Wouldn't it make it stronger?

I thoroughly enjoyed watching this fight. It was interesting to see Alex in the grappling realm and I think he did an excellent job of handling the submission attempts. I don’t understand the comments about him being tired, I think his cardio looked outstanding especially given the elevation of Salt Lake City. Jan is no doubt a warrior and I’m looking forward to seeing all of these LHW fights in the near future!!
Jan's striking lacked power and to say he was gonna' drop Alex is laughable. UFC is changing the cheap kicks & wrestling game is a thing of the past. This is like street fighting you cant lay on the ground & beat someone. Alex looked ready and as usual stands in there prepared to take a hit.

Great performance by Alex 👏
Jan didnt do anything when he was on top of Alex. On the feet Alex was CHOPPING the legs with calf kicks. Its a new era in mma where control doesn't win fights, damage does and Jan didn't do nearly as much as Alex
I wish judges would follow your style all the time but sometimes those a holes give it to the guy that lays and prays.
Alex didn't do that much damages either. Not even a knockdown. Sure, Jan got a cut in the nose. But it's not like his face was brutalized or anything. However, those 3 takedowns and 7 minutes control time are not little. Most importantly, Jan ended both 1st and 3rd rounds in a dominant position.
@@heightcopecentre no way the 3rd takedown is relevant, after Alex outstriking in that round, and Jan doing absolutely nothing relevant with that
@@rafaelqueirozz The striking was close in the 3rd round. And ofc the takedown was relevant. If it was on the street, Alex's back head would get slammed against the concrete. And most importantly, Jan ended up the fight at the top. In other words, Poatan was saved from that position by the bell. He never escaped. Same thing for the 1st round. Either way, it's split decision and debateable.
How delusional can you be? Blahowicz almost submited Pereira in first round multiple times. How is that doing nothing?
The translator is amazing!
Jan tried to lay and pray on Pereira like he did Izzy, glad it didn't work (may have actually backfired, it gassed him out BAD), very good fight from both guys though. You could see after 1st round he was done, his strategy relied on lay and pray too much
Imo this made Izzy looks better since he didn’t even put on weight against a very powerful and bigger guy. Alex has way more advantage being 250 pounds or so before the actual fight (he showed his weight). He’s heavier and bigger than Jan.
@@teamtaka7nah Izzy was outstruck stand up and beaten on ground and fuvkd 😂. Poatan did some damage and stunned his ass
Exactly. Rewatch that fight without commentary and you'll see how much Jan outstruck Izzy.
@@yashaanksingh Yeah Jan definitely outstruck him there - what I mean is that he did no real damage to either of them - even with checks/leg kicks. Izzy's put on a lot of muscle since their last fight and has improved his game too - it would be interesting to see what would happen if him and Jan fought at MW (if Jan could magically make the cut), Izzy is to naturally skinny for LHW in my opinion, unless he's going up against a pure striker like Powatan, most LHW guys can just outweigh him.
@@teamtaka7Izzy was getting pieced up by jan.

bro Jan's legs are made of wood, we saw that in the Ankalaev fight, and then Alex landed like 2 or 3 leg kicks and Jan's calf had that crazy looking welt on it, I don't get how he can generate that much power without putting any twist on them, he's messed Izzy AND Jan up with those? yall realize how wild that is? now imagine he beats Jiri and Jamahal, avenging Glover's last 2 losses, the UFC script writers need a raise 😂😂

thing i was most impressed and pleased with was his defense. he was very good defensively and didnt get caught with his hands down, very impressed by that.

I can't help but like Alex, good job on the W.
It cracks me up how interviewers often smile, nod and look surprised when listening to someone speak a language they totally don't understand.
He deployed the same gameplan that Jan used on Ankalaev, the irony. Really paid dividends in the remaining two rounds when it looked like he was getting smothered with the grappling. Jan was spent and basically hobbling on one leg.
The trilogy against Adesanya for the LHW title is going to be massive. 1.5M ppv minimum

Crazy how after getting knocked out not even half a year ago dude came out with a win which not an easy task
Pereira just needs to improve more the ground game . He will be an unstoppable
Honestly i think (rd 1 jan) (rd 2 alex) (rd 3 jan) is how i had it. Alex's cardio did well but i think doing kickboxing for more than a decade going on average 5 rounds per bout he already had great cardio. His ground defense look much improved from that izzy fight. I think he could beat anyone in striking in that weight class. If Alex was to get the title at lhw then i think Izzy would be interested in a rematch just for the possibility to become a 2 division champ
Poatan vai matar um ro coração qualquer hr dessas😂😂😂
