I appreciated how kind Usman was to Gilbert immediately afterwards and also in the post-interview with Rogan. It was more than the "cordial respect" a winner gives to the loser.
I wasn’t surprised. Usman needs that mean streak when he’s fighting especially a friend like Gilbert. People call it fake or selling the fight but he needs that mindset, unlike other guys. After the fight when the tension is gone he’s going back to normal.

The dudes a beast... humble very respectful , extremely educated, reppin an entire continent. In the zone in the ring he’s a superstar, seriously put some respect on his name! Great fight
Usmans fight IQ is too damn high. He stayed calm and composed the whole time. He got rocked but didn't panic, a lot of weight on his shoulders fighting someone that knows more about his strengths and weaknesses than his other opponents. He used the jab beautifully, gained momentum, and went in for the kill when it was ready. He also took advantage of kicking Burns, and giving him hard body shots instead of playing the ground game with him. Usman does things like this that help him in his fights. Like the shoulder strikes vs Woodley, foots stomps vs Masvidal, not wasting energy wrestling vs Colby another wrestler on his level, maybe higher or less, however Usman doesn't waste time engaging in this that could give him a hard time. Look at how he shut down Masvidals striking by smuthering him with his wrestling. Usman is handsdown one of the best to ever do it. Also, the fight was not a early stoppage. Burns was getting rocked repeatedly and wasn't doing anything, it was a good stoppage.
Don't forget he immediately clinched Gilbert after he got rocked. Most fighters panic and try to backup and then proceed to get lit up. He was able to overcome adversary and Gilbert wasn't. That's why he's champ
Preach bro!!!
You Couldn't Have Put That Any Better. 👍
I think (according to interviews with other fighters - Anatomy of a fighter video) he is one of if not the most disciplined fighter on the roster. He never has a cheat day, he's always on target weight even when not in camp, he always puts in the hours, he never deviates from the game plan. Gaethje says he's the most disciplined guy he's met in a post fight tweet. Even Burns, who I am sure was as prepared as prepared could be admits that after he got that big punch in the first, he smelled blood and the gameplan went out the window. He's mentally up there, which I find amazing because he's at the pinnacle, and I wonder what drives him to be that disciplined every fight.
@@MrDioXIII immigrant mentality, that’s what it is.

@@ArtefactsOfYou it’s crazy because before this fight I hated on Usman a lot and tbh for no reason at all but on acid I see him completely differently. I have an unbelievable amount of newfound respect for Usman, what a beast. Man...isn’t life beautiful?
@@mardavdel Life is beautiful man, it really is. But please do yourself a favour and stop watching videos, put on some psytrance and have some fun!!
I just wanted to say I hope you’re having an amazing trip brother! I’m sending good vibes from over here in va!
@@mardavdel bro I can totally relate. It’s crazy. I hated him and now I think he embodies a champion
One of the most humble, honest, talented, real champions UFC has ever had
humble?? LOL ok
Congratulations my nigerian bro More Grace from God 🙏🙏🙏
All credit needs to go to Trevor Wittman for the win. He is the one who told Usman to start using the jab more after he lost the first round. Great adjustment by a great coach.
He deserves all the respect and crédit for his entire carrer...Real talent man 👍
Gilbert says usman doesn’t hit hard, Usman literally knocked him out with a jab.
Gilbert was throwing so much undercover disrespect..he basically said Usman couldn't beat him with his own abilities
he got tko'd and hasn't rewatched it yet. he'll come to
When you get rocked then those light punches do a lot more damage than they would before .
Bro Gilbert was literally walking in to them because he kept trying to pressure Usman and get the KO. I think Usman is a beast and his jab is good but Burns made his jab look better and in turn made Usman hit harder cause he was getting intercepted by it. Usman ain't a power puncher, he has decent power but it's really his elite level precision and timing that did Gilbert in
@@ChewbaccaOnDrugs1130 you’ve never boxed huh?
I want to see wonderboy vs kamaru just because he’s beat everyone else in the top 5 obviously Leon has more than worked his way up to a rematch but at some point I would like to see the wonderboy fight he makes the best of them look bad even when he loses
usman vs colby 2 is the fight to make
It absolutely is...if Colby beats Leon
