It's not an easy choice because just because you won't cut weight doesn't mean others won't. People cut weight to fight people their weight. If you dont, your opposition will have an advantage. Respect to colby, dude doesn't care, down to throwdown.
All the antics aside, this dude is incredible. Those wrestling transitions were absolutely top tier. I actually thought Jorge did well trying to break out of the ground and pound but Colby was 2 steps ahead of him every time. And he fights at his natural weight class with that absurd conditioning. His fight game isn’t flashy but damn is it good. Both Colby and Kamaru prove one thing. Wrestling is an absolute amazing foundation into MMA. My son has been talking about wanting to get involved with combat sports and I think I’m going to try to steer him into wrestling.

Definitely have him wrestle from a young age. He’ll learn a great foundation for mma, how to train for fighting shape cardio which is different than just running. Wrestling will teach him how to control his weight in both senses of using his weight to control people and also the numbers on the scale during weigh ins. Plus it’s a great and very fun sport that teaches discipline, self reliance, and also a surprising amount of teamwork for a sport where you’d initially think it’s 90% individual.
Put him in Wrestling and Jiu jitsu. Undefeated together, incomplete alone.
I mean if he didn't run his mouth I would agree but dude talks alot but can't finish fights always needs the judges. Jorge on top of that only got big off of a good ko but put coby in a real fight and we seen what happens.
