  • One of the greatest fights I’ve ever seen. True display of how entertaining MMA can be when both competitors are warriors and extremely skilled in there disciplines. Ortega is a warrior and I bet he gained a lot of fans from that performance. Props to Volk who I’ve overlooked when p4p conversations arise but he shown tonight he is in his prime, outstanding cardio and a nightmare for anyone in that division.

  • This is exactly what MMA should be...two gladiators that put their souls on the line...And when it's all said and done nothing but respect between the two of them... Absolute warriors...Volk became a legend tonight and Ortega showed his got enormous heart and durability... Would love to see it again one day

    • People can talk trash about ufc but that’s just the way it goes. Some PPVs are a shitshow, then some are absolutely insane. This one was really good despite the Diaz and heavyweight bouts, Ortega-volk, and schevchenko saved this ufc and made it really good. I love Diaz but that fight sucked. Just like the masvidal fights, you expect fire then he kinda sucks, especially against usman.. he only knocked out askren cuz I mean look at his boxing fight, he’s a straight grappler. It is what it is.

  • I have major respect for Brian after this fight, he goes the distance, doesn't give up and gives it his all. He looked dead after round 3 but he continued on. One of my favourite fighters, I hope he gets the belt sometime soon.

    • Most exhausting is difficult to say I go for boxing trained both and fought in boxing. I only say boxing is more exhausting cause you have 12 rounds and a lot of time you see fighters clinching or wrestling in MMA to take a breath when both are exhausted. There is also a reason a lot of boxers collapsed after 12 round fights

    • It wasn't just the submissions, it was the whole fight. Ortega got headbutted on accident so bad that he was pouring blood from his nose, he got ground and pounded with full strength multiple times so bad that he could barely see and walk back to his corner, he could barely even stand YET Ortega still fuqin made it to the end and was landing bombs in the end of the 5th round. Truly inspirational.

  • Fireworks :-) Feel bad for Ortega since he was 1-2 seconds away from becoming the champ in round 3 and 4... Alex survived that, which was amazing... Ortega is only 30, and I think he is gonna become a future champion. Round 3 is one of the best rounds ever :-)

    • Yeah I wanted to clown him because of the way he was talking crazy before the fight then gets his ass kicked but he made it a back and forth fight. Volk was still the better fighter the whole fight pretty much but Ortega put on a little show back. Didnt quit, and didn't make any excuses post fight interview. Nothin but love to the champ, and fans. All you can ask for in a title fight.

  • After the fourth round, I heard Ortega's corner tell him that it was time to "earn it." Everyone knew he had lost the fight. That was no longer what he was there to earn. That last round was about respect. He proved in 5 minutes that he belonged in that ring, by fighting like a champion. He had my respect already. The man is an uncrowned king. And those submission attempts in the third! Lightning guillotine. Excellent work from both fighters, but Brian Ortega is a true hero. I love his fights!

  • Honestly nothing but respect to the dude, could’ve easily taken the doctors stoppage by pretending to not be able to see out of that eye. All heart. He almost looked like he contemplated it for a second, but instead he chose to go right back in the fight with a fired up Volkanovski in terminator mode across him. Hope he doesn’t have to take another long break after this one cause I can’t wait to see his next fight.
