I don't think it'll come right-away for Nick. From my own experience as an athlete. But I do think the moment will come. In maybe fight 2 or 3. Where the old Nick Diaz wakes up. It is rust, and it does go.
Especially because Nick's never very far from the gym or sport - he loves to train. Keeps him mind together like a lot of us. Training, eating right, in bed and up early - should be exciting for Nick. He must be Jonesing for it - I would be.

I never used to like Justin but he’s kind of grown on me over his time in the ufc. He’s the type of guy you want to have your back if things go south. I’m hoping for Justing to win but we all know that anything can happen and it could go either way because they both have heavy hands. I think Chandler has quicker reflexes and faster hands by a small margin but Justing has bricks for fists.

Love this attitude by Gaethje, There is something unlikeable about Chandler. I don't know if it's just the fact that he arguably got a title shot he didn't deserve over guys that did, or if it's just the way he is, but this was the fight I was calling for because the reality is if you want someone to be tested by fire, Gaethje is the dude you give them
I like both fighters, this should be a good fight. I'm leaning a little more toward Justin though. Apparently people want to see Conor keep fighting: maybe casuals but the real MMA fans want these sorts of fights.

It's rare I get giddy at the interactions between 2 fighters, but this fight is something pretty special on paper. I hope it comes to being even remotely close to what I'm hoping for, because that way it'll still be fight of the year.
The sport is currently being ruined by early stoppages which seem to happen constantly, and mostly from Herb Dean. If Herb is in there, expect him to waive off the whole fight from one guy slipping and losing his footing.

Gaethje, when on his P’s and Q’s, is a problem for just about everyone in the division. Everyone talks about his chin but he’s been clipped a lot in fights, Michael Johnson, Poirier, Tony even flashed knocked him with an uppercut in their fight. It’s gonna be an extremely high level chess match and it’ll be who can keep their head off centerline the best honestly.
I don't know how anyone can criticize Gaethjes chin when the times he's been ko'd it's not like he went down easy, Eddie and Dustin had to go to war to get rid of him, Johnson KO'd Dustin when he caught him making a mistake, Gaethje got rocked but survived
