Aleksei "Protect Ya Neck" Oleinik
Should be his theme music
Он слабенький
@Stevey B his nickname is the Boa Constrictor
Protect your throat you mean.
😂😂😂😂😂
He may be one of the most unique fighters who stepped in that octagon
To me he is one of the most entertaining grapplers to watch in mma.
@@ettorebugatti9354 Absolutely, he isn't explosive he just slowly gets you into position and it seems like his opponents don't even notice that they get strangled in a few seconds
@@ettorebugatti9354 he always goes for a submission too no matter how tired.
@@tateslife6836 if he could tighten up the striking a bit hed be a real monster
Definitely. Hard to make any comparisons. There’s basically one Oleinik and that’s it.
Aleksei Oleinik: -This is his 75th fight -He has 59 wins -46 Submission wins -14 Ezekiel Choke wins -Started fighting on 1996 -43 years old -wants to fight 7-10 more years
yeah he's my favorite old fighter, og still kicking these kids arse
Holy crap. Never knew about his stats..this dude is crazy!
He is a KGB agent
That's also just his mma career stats
i did not knew he had 14 fuckin eziekel chokes
I can't even imagine how much it must suck to get finished via Ezekiel choke from the mount position on national TV, with every casual wondering, "how the heck did you lose?"
Not just casuals. This isn’t something you see often in the sport. Even the commentators were surprised.
If you're going to get caught by the Ezekiel choke then there's no better person to get caught by, can at least say you're far from the only one aha.
@@trevorrovert3103 Even the fighter himself didn't know he was getting choked. Otherwise he would handfight.
Nah. The scarf hold pressure tap finish sucks way WAY more because, you didn't tap to any conventional submission. The sheer amount of pressure he put on Hamilton would make anyone just give up an arm or choke to save face. Aleksei literally just crushed the life out of Hamilton to the point that he was actually suffocating (since he wasn't able to take in a breath and each exhale just made the hold tighter... exactly like how a python does it...)
My favourite fact about Alexei Oleinik is that he started his career in 1996 by fighting 3 times on the same day in a no-holds-barred competition in Ukraine. He won two of those three fights by submission, one by TKO. All three were first round finishes.
Best got so many amazing stats it's nuts
Just imagine, Yoel Romero fight since 1897💀
He's done 3 Ezekiel choke finishes in one day too lmao he is fucking insane
@@jimmyrustles980 in about 3minutes total cage time too
@@khaikimi6569 that's fucking hilarious
One of the few fighters you’re never safe with, even when you have him mounted!
"The Boa Constrictor" could be the most fitting nickname ever I mean look at the length of his arms lol
Yeah.. 6 ft 2 with 81 inch wingspan.
@@ettorebugatti9354 crazy length. Kevin Lee is 5'9 with a 77 inch reach with is also crazy
@@money0vrerrythin11 Yeah, or Sergei Pavlovich with 6 ft 3 and 84 inch reach.
All you casuals forgot the goat neil magny man has an 80inch reach at WW!
@@traphomebaby but he is 6'3
Never forget. Aleksei couldn’t even squeeze Derrick Lewis’ thick neck and just laughed
That was insane. The Boa Constrictor literally gave up after minutes of squeezing that neck.
Derrick is a thick man
Big black neck
@@irishscience580 thank you for spelling that word correctly and not referring to him as a *”tHicC bOi”*
Derrick is enormous, rnc or armbar could have done it, but the kesa gatame was a risky choice.
This guy submitted a man who was full mounting him What the hell ?!
That's a no-gi sodeguruma jime
@@joatanpereira4272 SIR PLEASE SNEEZE IN YOUR ELBOW
That’s the funny part. You think your in full mount and dominating. Then you go “wait a minute” and you get choked out.
That's the beauty of the Ezekiel choke
He's won 14 fights by ezekiel choke.
Oleinik accidentally submitted his mom while hugging her.
Then what do you say about his wife? :)
@@Mykola_Ponomarenko she tapped too
You're probably right 😂😂😂!
Hilarious comment
dude thanks for the laugh lol you're a legend
That Ezekiel choke breaks physics to an untrained eye Like what!? From the bottom
it's cause his hand is right on top of the windpipe. All the force is on that small spot.
@@rabbigoldbergsilverstein2899 Pretty much. One of the best in MMA today.
@@Ms.Fowlbwahhh I thought that was his left hand on the wind pipe, then the right arms is doing the squeeze
It's pretty easy with gi, but like that is hard af. Search sodeguruma jime and first example will probably be from the bottom too
When he fought Overeem that must have been the record for combined number of fights in MMA with 134. 64 fights for Overeem, and 70 for Oleinik.
I think any Travis Fulton fight would beat that
@@ytmademechangemyhandle Indeed, but there is an obvious difference in the level of competition. Overeem and Oleinik are still competing at the highest level in the UFC.
Overeem is up to 67 fights now...
@@ytmademechangemyhandle Holy cow just googled him... Got more fights than most divisions have combined...292 fights...
@@ekhodykin Fulton deserves respect. The dude submitted joe Riggs in under a minute
The amount of fights Oleinik has and still fighting at the highest level at his age, he's a beast.
hes like the ghetto Tom Brady of fighting.
I remember seeing his first Ezekiel choke in the UFC from his back and was so confused as to what just happened cos I’d never even heard of that submission before! Still one of my all time fav UFC submissions! 💪🏻
You can land that submission from any position on the ground, so effective.
And the dude has 14 wins by Ezekiel choke too. So crazy.
A no gi Ezekiel Choke in the hands of an experienced grappler who has trained it tirelessly is a very dangerous opponent. Knew a guy from one of my old days in BJJ. His guard was awful, and his straight armbar was hilarious to watch (because all the years I knew him I never saw him land it once lol). BUT, he no matter what position he was in, he would always get (or at least attempt) a no gi Ezekiel, and from having to tap to it while he was in my guard, I can honestly say it was murderously tight. Son of a bitch was definitely a one trick pony with it, but when he got his arms to your neck with it, there was huge probability you’d tap or sleep.
only the russian will play durty now I'm mad
I also remember Bruce Buffer's face after this fight when he tried to read it. ))
Most underrated fighter of all time.
6:25 the tap on the bum was the most Chad move ever, Alexie didn’t even realize how owned that guy was, he was just casually walking away ‘good game (tap) later bro’ 😎
Fourty six submission wins. *Fourty six*
I thought it was the british spelling or something but nope
@@heresthethingyouguys Yeah, idk, what tripped me up but I thought the same thing, fuck it's been forever since I've seen numbers spelled out, lol.
Who else is here after UFC 273, this man is the living example of old man strength
I always enjoy watching this guy. True Hall of Famer!
If not for his fights and stats, then certainly for his respectful behaviour inside the ring.
The amount if fights he had, wow
Tons of fights he has had even before professional fighting as well.
@Damion C"weak division" still would take anyone's headoff
@Damion C casual detected.
@Damion C I didn't necessarily mean oleinek I'm talking about other HW's
Everyone goes to heavyweights expecting to see knockouts. Nobody expects to see: Aleksei Oleinik "The Boa Constrictor" submission expert. It can be even more satisfying to watch than knockouts 😌
He deserves more recognition. His fight are extremely enjoyable.
I’m a fan the best thing about him is how he rests in between rounds
yeah very cool man, I am big fan also
😂🤣
The arms on aleksei are insane.
This guy started fighting professionally the year I was born and is still going strong in the UFC
This guy is a monster
He has fought and won in four different decades. The 1990s, 2000s 2010s and 2020s. The man is special!
What I love about his fights along with his masterful submissions is the disbelief after by his opponents that can't believe they were submitted. Supernsmooth with those take downs. So smooth they look like they shouldn't be that effective
Absolute Legend! Pay the Man UFC. Pay Alex the money he deserves
Guys been fighting since 96. I’m sure the ufc will take care of him but it’s not their responsibility to cover his ass for his whole career fighting in smaller promotions.
@@dalesfailssagaofasuslord783 it must be their responsibility. Otherwise they go to other organisations to have a righteous payment
@@Horvat04 lots of fighters have done it with bellator and gotten a better check but they’re also not top tier fighters anymore. He’s winning and he’s finishing so if he performs he can get his check and a submission of the night bonus.
@@Horvat04 I want him to get paid too I’m just sayin
@@dalesfailssagaofasuslord783 the record counts, he is a real legend one of the last ones left in the heavyweight division
He's a class act. look at the end of the second fight. He was getting mauled nearly, puts out his opponent and lets him come back to his senses. Ref asked opponent to move to side. Aleksei Oleinik has earned himself a new fan.
He is such a Odd fighter. Love this dude
Super early . Oleinik kicks ass.
In the dictionary, grown man strength: picture of aleksei
Clearly the dictionary does not deal with grammar or syntax.
@@sandoumir4348 U R too serious 🧐
👍
Considering his age, and the competition he's fighting.. Amazing
One of my favourite guys on the UFC roster insane grappling ability and super underrated striking. Truly one of the scariest matchups at HW.
"Maurice is going to get out of this" literally 1 sec later "ooh he tap" ok Roe Jogan how high are you?
He’s just flat out not a good commentator anymore
There couldn’t be a more fitting nickname
*Roxanne Modaferri has entered the chat.
@@MrHandsomeboynow Had to look her up, and just by looking, yup, kinda hard to disagree, lmao.
Mad respect to this legend.
Love this fighter, love his style, love his composure.
I love that his submissions confuse the commentators. :-)
He almost had Derek Lewis too. Had him gurgling 😴
ALEXEY OLEYNIK (his name is spelled in many ways) was professionally 51-9-1 before he ever had his first UFC fight. His UFC record is 8-7. If he had gotten signed to the UFC sooner he would have a better UFC record.
Most knowledgable submission specialist in my opinion 💪
LEGEND!!! One of the best heavyweights of all time. This guy was dropping BOMBS on Werdum
The second clip, Aleksei lets the guy sit on his stomach for a bit to let him recover from the sub, some guys just throw them off. Top notch guy.
Credit to Aleksei for stopping his choke at the exact moment when the referee says so - not just after the tap but more importantly at the end of the round where if he could get 3-4 more seconds, they could be decisive.
That Ezekiel choke is a thing of beauty
I love guys like Oleinik. So unique, adds flavor to the sport. Hard not to root for him.
4:33 even Oleinik was shocked he stumbled Hunt 😂
59-16-1 Holy shit this guy has been in so many fights
The Ezekiel chokes are so beautiful and technical.
14 of em in his cart. Crazy
This guy has fought almost everybody at this point besides Stipe of Ngannou
The king of submission👑💪🏼🥊 #Aleksei-Oleinik
Amazing variety of skill. Love it.
This guy is a true martial artist never stopping always going forward
The dislikes are from other snakes jealous of the man strength
From the people he got submitted by Ezekiel Choke
I love watching Aleksei. Just solid, old school catch wrestling.
This guy is one of the most unique legends off the game. Mad respect he is still going strong af this age after so many fights.
Imagine getting full mount and thinking "hell yeah, I'm about to win," then the lights start to go out.
Living legend ❤
Absolute legend
LEGEND !!
Oleinik's "Ezekiel choke " has to be one of the most underrated Signature move...
Legit one of my favorite fighters to watch
Large Python :"Careful son there's an Oleinik in the water. Don't get close" 👀
😆 Nice!
For real, he has the ability to squeeze a python to death. Watch fight science where they test how tight Fedor's choke is. His choke was very much tighter than a python they brought in to compare him with. And take note, pythons have been known to constrict smaller pythons to death. Since Oleinik's choke would be similar to that of Fedor's, then Oleinik has the ability to do just that.
Absolutely a Hall of Famer! It's amazing that people like him and Andrei Arlovski and Alistair Overeem have stayed at such a high level for so long! Inspiring all right!
So underrated. Always an interesting fight
One of my favorite fighters
60 wins with 5 decisions is fucking unbelievable, especially when he was still submitting guys in his mid 40s. Pulling off an ezekiel choke in MMA is crazy, but doing it 14 times is unheard of.
Aleksei Oleinik!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! goodness me his submissions and what a Humble humble guy... wowwwww Aleksei Oleinik!!!!!!!!!!!
To get a tap while being mounted, that’s legendary.
6:09 has gotta be the most creative arm bar I’ve ever seen.
4th degree bb... His Ezekiel is a thing of beauty I always love watching him grapple
The legend, definitely don't get enough love from the fans! 👊
I never heard of this guy before and i love what he does. What a god damn beast!
Alekesi is one of the most under rated fighters in the ufc
Superb fighter (and character) who show how much the grappling/submission (whatever IS...from bjj Sambo or luta livre/catch wrestling) IS still one of the most important aspect/weapon in MMA!
My prediction for his next fight: Oleinik by submission
I like how he instantly lets go on the tap. Respect.
Он тоже заслужил быть включенным в зал славы UFC.
3:36 the way he sets up the Ezekiel from the clinch is fascinating.
could watch him all day long 👏
Even when you know what is coming, you cannot stop it...pure genius.
it would be wonderful if he was in UFC in his prime... such a great fighter..
The man who made Grappling Great Again!👏
He moves sort of like a tree man, and he still manages to take out very tough opponents. Guy is a true warrior and a legend.
This is poetry in motion.
Damn. I'ma have to start practicing that Ezekiel Choke. That move is lethal!!!
That second submission from the bottom part was absolutely unique and dangerous! Damn guy!

He called boa for a reason truly amazing fighter
Great submission fighter, unique technique...🙏🙏
MONSTER!!! Can't think of another name.
Guy is a machine...pretty amazing!
The black beast not tapping out vs him was legendary the beast was sooo close to tapping he said
Просто мастер своего дела 👍
