Leon could have done so much better in my opinion. He was too focused on trying to KO Nate Diaz, which lets face it simply isn't going to happen. Not nearly enough body work and used minimal head movement, which resulted in Nate being able to crack him. Even though he won the fight, he still lost because of what Nate did to him in the 5th round.
Same punch he clocked McGregor with its the ones ya dont see that stun ya the most totally dominated him but very impressed with Diaz

Give Leon some respect. I know it's not everyone for damn sure, but Leon went out there and dominated Nate. Yes, he's no Colby, but Leon needed this win to be the big name ticket he has into a title shot with Usman.
Colby, Yes he’s no Leon but his crouch sniffing is due to his inability to stand and strike therefore he must roll himself over you sniffing you’re armpits for five rounds and if he tries to strike poor little Colby gets his jaw broken. Leon is good, but he lacks killer instinct and the lack of head movement was almost his undoing in the final round. Too many decision wins which while not bad fights aren't exactly action packed either, he coasts too much. He wasn't going to KO Diaz lets face it, but had he won by submission that would have been huge as the last time Nate was submitted was way back in 2006. A doctor stoppage win would have been fine though.

It was only after that, when Edwards began tumbling around the Octagon against the fence trying to stay on his feet that Nate started applying pressure, but the bell went before he could even get close. Very frustrating, wasting 25 minutes on Nate getting whooped and focusing on his showboating and caring more for his image, than actually giving it his all and actually trying. Being tough is meaningless, if you just get beaten for 25 minutes. If anything, it's worse, because you take more damage.
Tbh I had predicted Leon to completely dominate nate and even drop him a few times. Leon imo failed to make a significant impact for a title shot. He should try and get a money fight with Masvidal. Most likely Colby will get the title shot unless Wonderboy puts on a show against burns.

I felt like Nate was not there to win, but to please himself that he's still a bad ass fighter. After he stunned Leon wasn't Nate supposed to try and finish him with all he got? Because he knew there was only a minute left! The lack in his fighting has always been his defense against leg kicks, no improvements there. I wish he took these things more seriously and aimed to win, not put on a show. Then he would really put on legendary show. He obviously has the ability and durability.

His mockery was justified if he was winning or at least close. I had a lot of respect for Nate before this fight but that was a lose move imo.
