    • Ya never know until you see him in the octagon fully rehydrated. Woodley's one of those weird cases where he is definitely short and stocky for the division, but what he lacks in frame he more than makes up for in muscle mass. The guy says he walks around 205, I'd bet that he outweighs Luque tomorrow night. Had an easy 10-15lbs on Wonderboy in their fights, despite the frame difference.

      @Lavishous@Lavishous3 жыл бұрын
    • @@Lavishous Yeeeaah, this isn't the first time I've seen Woodley haha. I feel like you guys aren't understanding my comment. Let me clarify haha. I know what weight cutting is and how it works. Luque is still bigger and let's not forget that he also cut weight. Luque is wider across the torso and shoulders, he is also taller. That's not a result of weight cutting. That's his frame 😏 On another note I would say Woodley hasn't looked anywhere near his physical best for a couple years now so I wouldn't be surprised if he was no longer weighing as much as he used to on fight night. He looks considerably less muscular to me. Through his strikeforce days and until a couple years ago his physique looked the same, he looks softer and smaller now.

    • He wasn't disrespected. The odds were in favour for the othee fighter. He proved everyone wrong several times. Its part of the game. There are two professional fighters on line, anyone is dismissed per se but there are fights that you can tell that they do not fix to be competitive because of a huge advantage one from the other. Stipe wasnt that case of being totally dismissed, he was just the underdog

      @javierperez9188@javierperez91883 жыл бұрын
    • @@xSmokeoutxSlawthx Underestimating and hating aren’t the same thing, guy. Underestimating, disrespecting, and hating are all different things. Everyone who was confident Stipe would lose fights that he ended up winning underestimated him. The UFC disrespected him by not promoting him right during the first Ngannou fight. Hating would be the people in the comment section writing negative things. But Stipe has never brought on a lot of hate. Woodley, Jones, McGregor, Sean O’Malley...these are guys who get prominent hate. There will always be a handful of haters but unless it’s a lot it’s not worth even noting.

      @seanmatthewking@seanmatthewking3 жыл бұрын
    • @@javierperez9188 Exactly. It’s amazing how people can’t understand this. As fans, most of us respect all the athletes to some degree. But part of the game is guessing who will win. Predicting someone will lose isn’t disrespect. I could predict Stipe will lose every fight in his career and still have a ton of respect for him. I could even come to see him as the GOAT, but that doesn’t mean he’ll ever win the next match up. Even if 90% give the nod to one fighter, they might all see it as being a very competitive fight. I gave the nod to Conor in his last fight vs Poirier, but I was very aware of how good Dustin was and I knew Dustin had a very good chance of winning. But I still got it a bit wrong, which means I have to re-evaluate one or both fighters. And the reality with Stipe and Ngannou is either fighter could have won the fight. I just rewatched it. Stipe took a lot of very heavy shots that have taken out other fighters. There’s no clear reason why he wasn’t KOed. It easily could have gone the other way and then the narratives would be completely different. It’s pretty much a guarantee that Stipe will get tagged with some very hard shots again, and there is no guarantee that he won’t go unconscious. I don’t care how many times Stipe has been underestimated, this is just a reality. But if his chin holds up like last time he might very well win in a very similar fashion. I personally give Ngannou the nod, but that’s just a guess about his Stipe’s chin. That’s not disrespect to Stipe. If it looks exactly like the last fight, I won’t be very surprised.
