Just gonna leave this from the Unified Rules of MMA : "To be grounded, the palm of one hand (a flat palm) must be down, and/or any other body part must be touching the fighting area floor. A single knee, arm, (not fingers) makes the fighter grounded without having to have any other body part in touch with the fighting area floor." Imavov should not have been deducted a point because according to the rules Dolidze was not grounded.

As an example, during Grasso vs Shevchenko 2, Grasso landed knees to the head of Shevchenko while she was touching the floor with her fingers and those knees were declared legal. That was in Nevada as well, so logically the same should apply here.

Imavov got straight up cheated out of a TKO finish by herb dean. Your palm must be on the mat or “weight-bearing” meaning body weight must be leaning mainly on the hands for the opponent to be considered grounded.

I though there was a new rule in mma and ufc. You need to have one part of the body other than hands and feets to the ground for the head kick is illegal. In this rules if you have 2 hands ands 2 feet on the ground and nothing else you can kick the head. I dont understand the stop. I would say Imavov is super technical and is a beast but his fight IQ is super suspect. He had multiple opportunities to finish him but didn't. He fouled again for the 2nd time back to back in two fights, and he kept tying up with him which is where Roman wanted to be when he had Roman hurt on multiple occasions. I feel he had Roman so badly hurt in the first, and that helped Imavov carry the dominance throughout the rest of the fight but he needs to really clean up his fight IQ, because he made several errors that would've cost him the fight against a higher level opponent.
True but he's working on it with his new team. His new coach is fantastic. Apparently many people who have sparring with him said he's super impressive and nobody cant beat him if he transfer it in real fight. So the problem is emotional and new team working on it and develop his weight and body too
The foul was technically a clean shot. The rules state you must have your palm down and your weight must be on it. Dolidze had all his weight on his legs and just his fingers down. Strike was legal and probably would have resulted in a finish. Instead Imavov was penalized.

What a terrible callout by Nassourdine. Sean dominated him just 2 fights ago. He hasn't done enough to earn a rematch with him while Sean's stock has risen alot since then. He deserves a way bigger name and a higher ranked guy than Imavov. Fighters need to be more realistic with their callouts. The Vettori/Allen or Hermansson/Pyfer winner sounds more appropriate.
