As an Czech, I am so proud that we have someone like Jiri. From some small country somewhere in South Moravia, from hooligan boy who want to smash everyone he become humble samurai who became the champion. I REALLY wanna see Jiri Prochazka vs Alex Pereira if Jiri beats Glover again next month. Poatan vs Denisa has pure TNT written on it. Two fighters with Ancient Warrior vibes going toe to toe is too fun to pass up, plus they are both very dangerous and powerful strikers that like to bang with two totally contrasting styles but both like to pressure their opponents.
We all hope this man is champion for a long, long time.

Leon, Pereira, Jiri… 2022 has been the year of title challengers losing the fight only to manage to find a finish in the final round.
Jiri was losing the fight so badly that he entered every single round as favorite.
Don’t even compare Leon’s to the other two. Leon was getting dominated, pereira and Jiri still kept it very competitive. Round 3 was arguably a 10-8 from Jiri.
@@magicpanter which is especially odd given he was down on two of the three judges scorecards, and the third had it as draw going into the fifth. So even if it did go to decision and they gave him the fifth round the best he could have hoped for was a split draw!

Its ridiculous judges gave r2 to Glover just because of one nasty elbow and r3 was arguably 10:8 Thats why Jiri entered last round as favorite. I am aware that only judges´ scorecards matter however Jiri simply dealing more damage during entire fight ultimately led to his victory and I simply consider all that bias pretty insulting towards Jiri.

Absolutely one of the best fighters on the roster, I felt so sad for him after that shoulder injury he didn't deserve that but it seems like things are always gonna come along and mess up your plans and we can only do our best to get back to where we was before the setback. Life's not fair at all and some people get all the luck, but if you're heart is clear you will be fine. If you strip everything down then you can see that most things mean very little in the grand scheme of things, in a hundred years no one's gonna remember or care about any of the stuff you was consumed by, trust me. I want to see him back at his best and I feel confident he will smash his way through his first few opponents and will be in a title fight before we know it, hopefully. Probably the best fight i have ever seen. Momentum switches, slick boxing, great muay thai, occasional jiu-jitsu submission attempts, crazy grappling, insane reversals and an amazing twist in the end. + the respect between each other.

@@SonsOfDeForest Nah, I've seen way less deserving people get title shots. Alex has a decorated combat resume, came in and did exactly what he was brought in to do: Slay Adesanya. He's also 35, so a fight with him vs Jiri while they're both clearly in their primes still would be a huge miss between two powerful LHW strikers who don't like to back up. If I'm the UFC I don't care if fans feel he doesn't deserve it, and at the end of the day they don't care. If fans wanna see the fight, they'll make it happen. I would do that and if he wins, then he picks wht weight class he wants to be in going forward. Just my opinion
