  • Seeing this guy breakdown after the fight was really heart aching. Such a good dude. It's crazy that we forget we're not just watching two killers fight it out but also two individuals put themselves in the most vulnerable position someone can be in. Much respect to him and Usman.

  • He is built to destroy and end a fight quickly, not sustain and be a duration fighter. I think his chances would’ve increased if he really threw himself out after hurting usman. He says he got excited but clearly, he was hesitant after hurting him. He just prolonged the inevitable by letting usman get away in the first round.

    • That’s what made him lose. He wasn’t patient enough after that right. When you catch somebody your killer instinct tells you to go crazy and taste blood. That’s the wrong thing to do. When a guy is hurt at the level they are, you can take your time and maintain perfect shot selection.

      @tommythayer6753@tommythayer67533 жыл бұрын
    • I think I know where you are coming from. He didn’t seem to go crazy which would’ve been bad but he froze which is basically the same mistake. He needed to realize he had him hurt and walked him down methodically. Poirier is very good at it.

      @tommythayer6753@tommythayer67533 жыл бұрын
    • @@tommythayer6753 Thats cos Poirier's fight story is basically getting the shit beaten out of him and beating up other people to the point where he has this intimate understanding of when people are hurt, and that's why he's such a terrifying finisher when he smells blood. I disagree about burns though. He did rush and pressure kamaru. Usman just has a titanium skull. Look at what he ate; Burns' huge right hand, two more, a left hook, a knee on a clinch entry, and a head kick. He should have been dead right there. That final head kick made Burns slip and gave Usman time to recover.
