i must say, these brazilians are so humble and chill outside the ring/octagon but inside, straight up warriors. shogun epitomizes this. i met shogun when pride came to vegas the 2nd time and dude spent like 30 min just chatting it up with me in a food court at caesar's palace. then i ran into him again near a restaurant and we kicked it for like another 20 min. dude is always smiling and happy and good to his fans. one reason why i'll always support shogun, through his fighting ups & downs

I think the fighter who got a belt and become a champion remains with that belt, even if he lose the title. Now like a former champion, he still remains with the belt to prove he was a world champion, like a olympic medal.

There is a replica belt to keep for your own record. I'm not sure if the replica and the real belt are made the same but fighters/pro-wrestlers do get to keep some kind of trophy for being the champ even if its just once.

vc fala como se fosse facil treinar umas 8 horas por dia, sujeito a lesões viajar e estar sempre longe da familia, ajudar os outros a treinar, e fora que pra chegar onde ele está ele batalhou demais, lutando numa época que nem sabia se esse esporte ia vingar.. isso caras conhecidos como o shogun... imagina outros lutadores mais desconhecidos q fazem o triplo disso pra ganhar menos de 1000 reais por luta, e mal conseguem sustentar a familia
