Bruh, I've just realized how insane the Brazilian contingent is!! Those are "only" brazilians from the oncoming card, add to this huge line up Charles Oliveira, Amanda Nunes, Alex Pereira, and other past legends like Silva or Gracie...holy smokes, you'd think Brazilian national sport to be MMA, not football haha

@@fernandocesar2388 Hum, I wouldn't say "creators", cause it's hard to give paternity to an assemblage of sports, but as pioneers yes, indeed, which is why I said it could be their national sport... As to the correlation between them being pioneers of MMA and also having top tier fighters in the most prestigious organisation, it's not that obvious as you'd think (take football for instance, English created it and well, can't really say they're the best at it, right?)

@@fernandocesar2388 That doesn't give any paternity to Brazil 😅 First, it's not like he did it alone, there were US business men as well, should we also say that US created MMA? Second, if you go into technical details, the first K1 event happened several months before the first UFC event, so Japanese created it? Finally, it's like I already said: MMA is a mix of several martial arts, it's pretty impossible to say who was the first to mix two disciplines in combat. Specially because it most probably didn't start with what you can see on tv, in other words MMA wasn't created with UFC. There might have been other competitions in other countries we don't know about. More importantly man, think a little. Just because you create an organisation, that doesn't make you the creator of the discipline, just a broadcaster/entrepreneur.
@@Rowmson I mean, Vale Tudo comes from Brazil and is basically the origin of MMA. Gracies used it during Gracie Challenges which then later influenced and lead to the creation of UFC. It's not that crazy to attribute the creation of MMA/UFC as an entity to Brazil.
Brazil is THE Pioneer of MMA, so many entertaining legends from the country and the fans are so passionate about this sport, P.S. - these are just the Brazilians on this card, which adds up to a GIANT lbrary of highlights from Brazilian MMA
I say the USA where the pioneers of MMA since we have all the different Martial arts in the States, back in the day an The God father of MMA Bruce Lee Was one of the first to try an mix Up different styles.
