  • What Dana said about that Paddy-Gordon fight is mind blowing, absolutely mind blowing. No one in their right mind is thinking the same thing. Paddy came out and said he coasted the entire third after believing he won the first two, and... you go after Gordon for controlling Paddy the entire third round? Wow.

    • And he is talking about how Gordon had a terrible gameplan and threw the 3rd round when in fact 2 judges gave Gordon the 3rd round. 2 judges gave paddy the first 2 rounds (3rd gave Paddy rd 2 and 3) which is absolutely mind blowing to me. Dana protecting his cash cow trying to milk him dry before he faces any real guys in top 15 who are not a small 135er fighting at 155.

Imagine being Jan or Anklaev, being told 2 weeks before the fight that you're fighting a 5 round championship fight, have completely destroyed legs between the fight, pull it back in the championship rounds and get a 10-8 last round, get a draw, no belt, just to then be told by Dana in post right that fight was terrible and the title shot is going to someone else. Dana has proven to have no respect for fighters who are not good for his business, and he doesn't say a word about those who he can benefit from, I always thought journalists like Ariel helwani or others exaggerate when they expose Dana white but this post fight conference is really eye opening.

If you worked to get under the spotlight, then do it for all those who can't or will never be able to do it. Be an encouragement to them, and don't think I'll get hit if I come close. All these fighters are fighters in the ring. Once fighters come who are not afraid of pain or death, then it will only get interesting. Apart from D.J. rarely does anyone consciously do their job. If everyone was like him, people would understand what it means to consciously control the outcome of the fight. Either you have a mind or you have a heart. Without that, don't enter because with time everything will be seen.

  • I wouldn't be so quick to assume that the judges haven't got a clue or are biased or something. All of us watching on TV have the same exact view, see the same things, and hear the same sounds and commentary. That gives us a shared viewpoint that shapes our interpretation of what we see. I've experienced watching fights live, then back on the TV broadcast, and they felt like different fights... It's the commentary especially, it frames the way you think and that shapes the way you process what you're seeing.
