  • As a long time fan of MMA, I just started watching grappling. I got inspired when I saw Garry Tonon submit a Dagestani. Then I watched him grapple Palharres and that was crazy! I didn’t realize there were people who were technically superior to Palharres. I never thought I would see a man attempt a leg lock on that guy! The only mma fighter that ever challenged Palharres in grappling was Alan Belcher, but most mma fighters were afraid of his ground game. I can’t believe it took me 20 years to notice this sport. I hope the UFC keeps promoting these events. These guys are really talented. 👍

  • I'm braziliian and i practced grapling for some years. It was a good time. It's very easy to find a jiu -jitsu acadamy in the country. Maybe it is the reason of the such success of brazilians fighters in the wolrd.

  • I think the elevated stage needs to go, too risky to blast a takedown if the opponent uses the edge of the mat to avoid such takedowns, why not use the cage?

  • When you have points for takedowns and position changes it becomes grappling not jiu-jitsu at that point which isn't bad but it's no longer jujitsu and wrestling is the majority of the matches!!
