    • I believe that Jon Jones left LHW because of Jan. Look - there was a couple champions who changed divisions but I can't remember anyone who left his belt before first fight in upper weight class. For example Adesanya! Why he don't leave his middleweight belt before fighting Jan? :) Conor the same. ...naaah man. Jon didn't vacated his belt because he wanted go to HW. He knew that he can be knockedout by Jan and he bought himself a little more time. EDIT: To all PROFESSIONAL ufc fans who call me CASUAL. Proportions between punching power and durability is exactly the same in every weight classes. That's why we have weight classes morons. Joanna have exactly the same punching power to break Carla's chin durability... exactly like Conor to break durability of Jose Aldo's chin... exactly the same as Jan to Corey Anderson... Anthony Pettis to "Wonderboy", exactly the same as Ngannou to Overeem. YES - Jan in LHW have exactly the same chance to KO Jon Jones like Ngannou or Miocic in HW. Jon quits his belt to avoid fighting Jan to keep his GOAT LHW status. That's it.

    • @@michaeltompkins5933 Jan revealed after his fight against Corey that he have guaranteed in the contract that next fight is for the belt. So Jon should fight Jan. The rematch with Dominik was just a speculation. Quick reminder: Jon for the first two months was talking about "popping cheery from Poland" and Jan ofered him hard "fisting" at the first date. Jon was thinking about this fight really intense.

    • Fighting isn't about being undefeated... What if your favorite fighter loses once? Failure is the best teaching tool in life sometimes. Just because one is saying they admire the personality and mindset of how the opponent carries themselves is just showing that person has earned a sense of respect from you that other opponents do not earn. By doing that does not mean your giving up putting yourself first and not wanting to achieve your goals of winning. It's just a respectable way of going out and saying, may the best man win. Karate holds onto this sense of respect alot but in the UFC it's rare when you come across a opponent like Jan which in my eyes has earned respect for being a good person. There is nothing wrong with that, and even if a fighter admits that before a fight it is not setting him up for failure... If anything, going in blindly disrespecting a decent opponent is not the smart way to go in, but of course there are totally those opponents that never earn that respect but Jan is not one of those guys.

Being in someone's guard is actually safe, especially if you're a BJJ guy. While being mounted is VERY dangerous for a BJJ guy or anyone else. There's a huge difference! MMA fans would know the difference. To people coming from non MMA to the sport it may look the same, it isn't.
