    • I get the want to jab Adesanya, but if you were him, what's the perspective gained and needed for your own mentality as a fighter to move on from an opponent? To have to fight and beat him two more times, or to show yourself that you can beat him? I'm betting if we're being honest, it's the latter. Izzy beat him once after losing to him three times. That doesnt happen often, that opponents fight four times, and it happens even less that the outcome changes after three times. I dont get fans or athletes on this odd high horse regarding a profesional athlete, a kickboxer with a record of 75-5, an mma record of 24-3, and we're making fun of him for not fighting a guy he finally beat? It's skatilogical and lazy.

    • "It took four tries but I got it done in one." It doesn't make sense, Adesanya has so much money but I don't think he'll ever be happy. He seems so insecure. Alex didn't even want the instant rematch after he lost, he was happy he won the title and accepted that he lost the rematch.

    • The interpreter didn't portray it the way that it was said, I think the interpreter that the other Brazilians use would have been a lot better and Izzy could have seen that it was a heartfelt message. But that's always hard with a language barrier, and then he ended it off with come to daddy. As a grown man, of course you're going to have some issue, and be real with yourself. Izzy won that first fight and every fight he lost he was winning. This isn't some clean slate, It's still a highly competitive rivalry

I know Hill wants his crack wanting his belt back and I do need to catch up on fights, but I do like Alex and Izzy's rivalry, but I also agree and think Izzy needs/deserves some time off, maybe at least close to a year or two. • He "lost" via one of the worst early stoppages ever in a title fight. Goddard is at fault though, not Alex. People need to start recognizing when things like this happen instead of delusionally denying it because Alex is so respectable and well-liked. He's one of my favorite fighters ever, but an unacceptably early stoppage like that one is never okay, and could negatively impact his legacy when viewed in hindsight without the positive bias coming from Alex's hype train. Jiri deserves immediate rm, and it's impossible to take anyone seriously that defends that stoppage.
