Kamaru Usman has trained wrestling for many years aswell. He had only been striking for three years before the UFC and knocked out Masvidal. Striking in MMA is very different from boxing. Paul had a 20 pound weight advantage. Woodley is still a great fighter.

Who over extends a power shot right off the bat with a high stance at a Bjj guy? In training u never threw a 1,2 and got taken down immediately? And never got corrected for it? Idk maybe there yes men. They have built great fighters but we've never seen them evolve and use new techniques. Literally we see them strategize on how to use the same skills on different style fighters. In the end, it doesn't last forever.

    • His knee was already fucked and Woodley (or his corner) noticed something was wrong with Condit's gait/legs and targeted the lower body. Often times people don't actually have trouble getting hit or kicking with a bad leg, as they can grit and let it flop freely. It's often when the joints, ligaments, tendons, and muscles are loaded with weight in certain positions that those injuries get worse. By knocking Condit's good leg across his body, Woodley forced Condit to put all of his weight on the bad leg, bend it, and twist.
