I don't respect him because of his big mouth. He can talk the talk but can't walk the walk.
The moment Conor abandoned his wide karate stance, his smooth operation ended. He became stiff and he boxed himself into a traditional stance instead of letting himself breath and just move freely and comfortably like he did in his prime. He moved like liquid and showed everyone that he was comfortable, calm and collected. He picks apart his opponents in this state. Whereas nowadays he just executes for that shot that he needs and he doesn't get it often either.
I agree with your points, but I think what also needs to be considered is that calf kicks were becoming increasingly popular after Conor disappeared from UFC for a few years. That wide stance gets picked apart by kicks now. Maybe that was a tactical change he made to mitigate kicks.
Wide karate stance is beauty, but it works more against shorter opponents. McGregor dont learned to fight in close distance, that makes so hard to fight against taller (Reach) oponentens.

The stance he uses here was exposed when he fought chad mendez and dismantled when be fought khabib. It doesnt work in mma when youre fighting anyone who can shoot for a single. Coupled with subpar ground game, its a recipe for destruction of conor.

FW Conor was something else. His loyalty to his coaches is sadly one of the reasons he fell from grace, the one less spoke about. He was ahead of the game and, when he came back after the Floyd fight, the game was ahead of him.

He was a natural lightweight , would have been good to see him there but 100 mill later , the rest is history It was a good buzz while it lasted

This is a perfect showcase of old school vs new school UFC. Guys who started in the mid 2000's when the UFC was just really getting big look completely out of their element against modern guys who just look so much more fluid and balanced in every aspect of mma. This must have felt like a completely different sport for Siver than when he started a decade earlier.

It’s about risk. You do the hammer fist and fight hard until pulled off for that 1% they will otherwise recover and KO you or give you permanent injury.
Conor didn't break sweat taking apart one of the toughest fighters in UFC history. That is how good he was. He was also very humane for not destroying Siver at the end.
That pass to mount was so smooth. Conor at 145 was unbeatable. He was in the best shape of his life and had cardio for days. The moment he went up to 155 and 170 he became very flat footed and much slower.

What do you mean by cardio for days? Conor didn’t fought over 3 rounds in FW, and the one instance he did fight 3 rounds, he spent most of the time of the third and last two minutes of the second round on the ground bc he tore is acl (against Holloway). He most probably had cardio issues at FW too, but it never came to show. I remember against Chad Mendes he looked super gassed at the end of the second round when he got up; Mendes was even more gassed so he could put him away to become interim FW champ.
Against Mendes he had the same reoccuring knee injury as well. Not going to move as well. But his fight with Max Holloway proved he did have pretty good cardio. It takes a lot of effort to secure a takedown and he seemed to be doing it flawlessly even with his injury. Max wasn't the fighter he is now but still impressive. He was damn clutch at featherweight.

I don't believe that to be the case. It's simple biology really, he has a lot of type 1 muscle fiber (fast twitching) thus needs a lot of oxygen, and with that his style of fighting (pressing counter shots) takes a lot of stamina. Every movement he does is explosive and fast; Dominic Cruz said the same thing that Conors style of fighting is simply not made for five rounds. And also, do you believe after his fw career he didn't train as hard as before or how do you explain his cardio issues?
After his knockout of Jose Aldo he jumped to Welterweight from featherweight to fight Nate. He was "full belly" Conor lol. He never returned to featherweight after that. His fights with Nate were iconic but he certainly didn't move as well as he did at featherweight and gassed in Rnd 2. Round 2! He went 3 rounds with Max Holloway like it was nothing and then can't even make it through Rnd 2 without slowing down and becoming exhausted?! Too big of a jump too fast at that weight.

If he could have stayed humble the whole way through like a GSP or a Lyoto Machida, then there's no telling how long he could have stayed on top. Hungry Mcgregor was an animal. I truly believe he will never be this Conor again. He did everything. First 2 division champ in history, 13 second KO against #2 or 3 P4P fighter at the time, Top earning athlete in 2020. Its done. Its hard to be motivated when you are that rich and have achieved that much. You have to have pure passion for the sport and I think conor lost it in a way. Look at canelo. That man makes over 30 mil a fight and hes still hungrier more then ever. Canelo even said he makes over 1 mil a month from his investments and he just fights out of the pure love of boxing. I dont think Conor truly loves fighting anymore.

When Conor McGregor was first started in UFC he was really unstoppable nobody knew how to defend him nobody knew how to do anything because this skill level was better than everybody. The way he punched the way he kick that was just putting on a clinic in his earlier years in the UFC

Massive numbers turned up just to see Dennis Siver do the middle finger. Huge success.
Awesome performance and win. Opponent was cocky (no fist shake/bump) ... and even when the guy went down, Conor checked to make sure he wasn't already out instead of just beating on him (as other pukes do when the KNOW the guy is already out)...after he noted the guy was still trying, he went in for the kill. Honorable.

Connor’s grappling and guard passes just look effortless
His fighting style there is nearly perfect. I love his and Adensanyas fighting style.
