McGregor needs his retirement fight in Dublin, period. The most energetic and chaotic crowd. And that was a small stadium, still loudest according to Dana, louder than metal concerts.
What's the current issue with the Irish government when it comes to full capacity?
McGregor is already retired. He made his coin and got soft. You'll see.
@@attiepollard7847 the Irish government are currently a Circus
@@benrobinson6954 so I'm guessing they're not allowing fans at full capacity anytime soon?
@@attiepollard7847 Ireland is miles behind in terms of lockdowns and restrictions, one of the only countries in the world who’s pubs and restaurants are closed for the most part. The restrictions here are so far behind and Ireland we’re supposed to be one of the hosts or euro 2020(football) and even the darts Grand Prix but because everything’s still fucked over here(despite the number of cases, deaths etc being the same for over a year) so that’s all had to be moved. Now the government is starting to issue covid passports for people vaccinated and nothing will properly move forward because I’d estimate a quarter of the Irish population won’t take the vaccine because they don’t trust our government so the world is moving forward but Ireland isn’t. We also had the longest lockdown in the world that was only recently lifted so it won’t be for at least a year before everything is back to normal and that’s being hopeful because our government is unbelievably bad
After this fight hype was so big in Europe. I literally asked my friend who was this freak irish man (the only people i knew in ufc was Silva and Weidman) and he told me it's Conor McGregor. So Conor brought me into this beutiful sport.

In retrospect Brandao could have gotten 50 million for this fight. If it would be scrapped, conors career would have been delayed and perhaps would never be catapulted to stardom so fast
The energy around Conor's rise was truly legendary. The reaction of the Irish crowd nearly brings a tear to your eye.

@@TheMisanthrope. That “old man” was 40 years old. Your kind eating up fake news from CNN, as usual.
“Hate” is trashing someone for _no reason._ Criticizing them for their actions (that they THEMSELVES are responsible for) has evolved into “hate” since some of you have room temperature IQ’s. I’m willing to bet if some of Conor’s fanboys met him & he told them to get on their knees, they would with ZERO hesitation. Anyone who actually idolizes another human being shows how weak they truly are & can be swayed in any direction. I’m just here for the show. This is only entertainment to me & has been for years, like any other sport. Doesn’t matter who wins, but A LOT of y’all are just fanboys, bottom line. He’s a great entertainer, that much is undeniable, but it’s sad to see ppl justifying a rich dopehead’s actions who can’t control himself (lack of self-control is a sign of weakness, that goes for physical altercations AND sexual interactions). Money always reveals a person’s true nature. Some of y’all don’t get it, do you? He’s apart of the elite now. They have never & will never care about we little people. He’s a garbage human being, but he’s awesome in the octagon, or at least, _he used to be._ Same with a lot of other fighters who are disgraceful, but they DO have talent. You can enjoy someone’s talents, but not like them as a person. Just the objective truth, unless you don’t have a moral compass..? Same goes for the elites in Hollywood. Majority of them are crazy commies, altho I still watch movies with them in it, BUT I NEVER pay for it :)

@@twm1423 look at the ppv numbers and the amount of people that came to the sport because of Conor
@@thirtythree504 and many of them only watch when Conor fights. PPV numbers have nothing to do with how entertaining something ends up being. Ufc 200 did big ppv numbers and that card ended up sucking. Entertainment is subjective and I found other moments in the history of the sport more entertaining than anything involving Conor.
I remember watching that on tv couldn’t even hear the commentators at all it was so loud
No wonder Conor McGregor so proud of his country, He gets the whole Ireland love him.
Watched that event here in Boston. It was CRAZY!! Every Irish win was reacted by the bar I was at like it was a SuperBowl win. Boston loves Conor.
Conor: It’s red pantie night when you sign to fight me yeah, you ring back home. You ring your wife. Baby we did it. Conor McGregor made us rich baby.
Except for most it doesn't, at all. Cowboy got 232K with a max of 432K if he won and no PPV. Conor got 3 million plus PPV flat and 20K reebok.
@jason mathers False. Nate got 500K and no win bonus for 196. Conor got 1mm per the commission. Nate only got 250 for this last fight which is what he gets for most. Forbes, USAToday, all report the payouts per the commissions which is public record.

What a historical insane night! I remember there being a 2014 Highlight for McGregor which is gone now and the song was Rudimental- Waiting All Night and this bit was shown in it and it just got to me. And yet here in Ireland we have to pay the highest price to watch our fighter. We have to pay for sky TV,then the bt sport add on and then the ppv fee. Why cant people who can not afford those monthly subscriptions not buy the fight as a one off purchase? You force us to watch illegal streams.🙄

My biggest takeaway from this is props to Kavanagh… dude had his work cut out for him. Forget the pressure on each fighter, imagine the pressure of one coach having this many hometown fighters on one card
He managed to bring his friends to the world stage. Fans behind him from the start. He wore CR7 underwear and today, he is the number one highest paid athlete.
