If you looked at the scorecards, 2/3 judges (though different each time) gave rounds 2,3, and 4 to Shevchenko, but due to how the points add up Nunes won on points via a split decision. So it was definitely the closest fight of her career, and Shevchenko unquestionably won 3/5 rounds, just not unanimously.

@@bigbay1159 The second fight was close enough that it should get a third. Ideally it would have been dominant one way or the other, instead of a really technical decision, but it is what it is. With a gap of two weight classes it might not happen. Andrade is next for Valentina most likely, but she was outclassed by Rose and only won with a lucky throw, so I don't think she'll win. I really hope Weilli comes up and fights her, that would be really good. I would have liked to see a Nunes vs Cyborg rematch, where Cyborg's block button wasn't broken, but that's not happening short of a Bellator crossover. As it is, Nunes and Shevchenko are so dominant in their respective devisions that no one except each other stands a chance against them.

From what I've seen of the fight of Cyborg x Nunes, Cyborg didn't seem to have the tools to beat Nunes (and Nunes was a bit smaller and less muscular than Cyborg), and Shevchenko could go toe to toe with Nunes, as the former is known as an extremely technical kickboxer
