Although I was a fan of Rhonda, since I came from a competitive Judo background as well, but when I learned of some of the ways she acted in being disrespectful to her opponents, and being cocky is not how us judoka act or are taught by our sensei, and so I decided I really didn't like her. I then started loving what I was seeing from Miesha Tate and then she got beat by Cat and Nunes and it wasn't looking so good, but she's back now and looks pretty solid in her last two fights. People only say Holly won because they know (and to some degree like her) and either don't know or don't like Ketlen. Sadly, Holly Holm is a one hit wonder fighter. She has only one signature win to her name and thats the Ronda Rousey fight, Holly's other highlights are of Miesha and Amanda finishing her.

      @madgavin7568@madgavin7568 Жыл бұрын
    • @@madgavin7568 Holly Holm was legitimately great, just not dominant and got a little unlucky. She holds two victories over Raquel Pennington and one over Megan Anderson; she did finish Bethe Correia, although that's not exactly a huge feather in her cap; she was busting Miesha Tate up until Tate hit that hail mary submission; and there is absolutely no shame in losing to Amanda Nunes, Valentina Shevchenko, or Cris Cyborg. Lost a close fight to Ketlen Vieira and while I wouldn't say that's a robbery, she was absolutely robbed in the GDR fight.

  • At the 2:25 mark, Cathilee Deborah (Cat) Zingano rag-dolled Amanda Nunes all over the octagon. Those two head-over-heels throws were phenomenal. Cat Zingano is probably the greatest UFC Women's Bantamweight to never win the title. I still believe that Ronda Rousey could have retired undefeated if she had not tried to be a boxer. She was so good at armbars that she was nicked-named "The Arm Collector." Boxing was such a career ender for her.

    • I'm glad to see more people speaking up about this but even those were bad in my book. They weren't trying to get back up, they were putting their arm out cause they wanted the fight to stop. Already concussed, won't remember a thing. Might as well be punching a grandma at that point. That's not a sport. But all the fans love knockouts, so it's incentivized. So we all just wait and see how many punches this mostly defenseless person has to take before they receive the required amount of brain damage to name the other combatant the winner.

  • Even at her peak Ronda was disorganized with her boxing attack. He really never planted herself, bit instead threw lots of punches. It took a boxer (Holmes) to expose that major weakness.

    • Yeah. I remember watching the build up to the fight lisening and reading people saying Ronda would be a hard fight for Nunes. If she got her hands on Nunes it would be over. I kept thinking ' did you all watched Nunes vs Tate? Nunes beat her up on the feet then submit her. Nunes is a beast Ronda is a little girl who likes to look pretty. ' One smack from Nunes its over. 45 seconds.

      @orinorio1@orinorio1 Жыл бұрын
    • @@orinorio1 You have to consider that prior to her loss against Holm, Ronda had literally destroyed every single opponent she had faced, sometimes in a matter of seconds. Unfortunately for Rousey, that fight didn't just end her undefeated streak and championship reign. It also exposed one big hole in her gameplan: Ronda needs to get to a head and arm clinch to set up her judo throws. That's the main if not the only way she takes her opponents to the ground. She never shoots for takedowns, because her knees are in too bad a shape. Holm's coaches saw that, and Nunes took notes. Both neutralized every single attempt of Ronda to get to the clinch, while picking her apart with strikes.

      @s_r_edits@s_r_edits Жыл бұрын
    • @@s_r_edits Yeah as Holms and Nunes were fighters who were pros. There weren't part time mma fighters like Ronda fought. She had one skill and she faced mma females who were not good as female UFC fighter is today. Ronda was hyped up to make every one thing she was better then she was. If Dana had bought in Cyborg into the UFC Ronda would have been beaten earlier then she was.

  • Cat Zingano is my favorite female MMA Fighter. The fight against Amanda Nunes was a good one. Nunes was punishing Cat at first till later in the first round when Cat got on top. It was Cat from that point on until she finished Nunes in the 3rd Round. Kudos to Cat. I would have love to see her get a rematch with Ronda Rousey but Ronda ran to the WWE after being destroyed by Holly Holm & Amanda Nunes in the UFC.

  • Props to Cat Zingano for putting on a bit of a seminar with those takedowns against Amanda Nunes. This is her biggest UFC highlight. Zingano's best attribute was her physical toughness, her ability to absorb lots of punishment. Unfortunately for Cat, her best attribute proved to take a toll on her physical health. Cat has openly talked about the brain damage she suffers from. She specifically said that her fight against Amanda Nunes is the one that actually caused her the damage. Cat came out a winner against Amanda, in the fight stats, but not in regards to her physical health. :(
