gerald getting 3 wins after the Chimaev KO went so under the radar.
Just goes to show, Chimaev win was well deserved
beautiful submission artist
@@wadood8700 No, what it goes to show is fighters shouldn’t get back in the octagon several weeks after they get knocked out viciously in the first round.
Yep, I had no idea he had fought 3 times, and got 3 wins after that. A true fighter 🙏
Not to mention his last win was a huge comeback
gerald meerschaert coming back from that knockout and performing the way he has is quite spectacular.
It's almost like he was just in the bright lights and was too nervous to perform.
it really is! khamzat knocked him into a better fighter ahah but i am excited to see more GM3 💪🏼💪🏼
Great video! If you are reading this i am very sorry for interrupting you. I dont want to waste your valuable time but I just released the offical teaser for a short sport film. If you are not interested just continue scrolling thanks a lot
Trash rolls down hill sometimes, it was bound to happen
Thing is he never was bad, it's just Khamzat who's spectacular
So happy for Gerald Meershart, guy got to redeem himself from that embarrassing KO to Khamzat
I would argue that getting wrecked by Khamzat is nothing to be embarrassed about.
Tell that to my bank account
He’s a good fighter to have around. Great Gatekeeper
@@honkeykong4049 I'd say any 1st round KO is embarrassing
@@thomassantino392 maybe not first round, but first minute ko for sure
Gerald's criminally underrated, crazy to think that Khamzat finished him that quick.
@Ultimate Ko no brother you 🧢⚰️⚰️🤪
@Ultimate Ko idk man , you cant fix a knockout. He looked scared as fuck. If the fight was a decision then yeah could be fixed. A punch to the face and nappy nap time is hard af to predict and fix.
I mean it was a bit of a lucky punch, it was placed perfect, powerful, but it did also rely on Gerald being in that position, not reacting etc. KO like that are not necessarily a good reflection of skill of either fighter. He hadn't done another one like that yet.
Gerald's last fight was terrible
He's just an average bloke.
Bam Bam Tuivasa reminds me of Mark Hunt. Just when it seems like hes done, he goes on a winning streak. He will be top 5 but I dont think he will be champion. He gets tagged too much.
If he lost 25-50 lbs of fat an put on 10-20 lbs of lean muscle he could do it.
@@dmoney3491 what does muscle have to do with anything?
@@nolove6962 power 💥
@@Ikcanseeyou Having power does not negate the fact he has ass defence and gets cracked often.
Bam Bam was Mark Hunts training partner for several years.

Everytime I read or listen “Dustin Jacoby” I remember Alex Pereira knocking the fuck out of him in kickboxing
Thank you
Gamrot is my favourite 'prospect' right now. Even tho he's now ranked 12 he still fresh in the UFC and he has looked nothing but amazing.
Gamrot is a fucking Dark Horse to LW
@@zizek-og3gf gamrot, guram, fiziev. i can only get so hard!
@@jumonjichoo7070 guram fought only once lol.
Gamrot is good man, be on the lookout for Shavkat Rakhmonov at WW, he's 16-0 with 16 finishes and has two sub wins in the UFC, really good prospect.
@@arnhem5252 guram only fought once in 2020 vs gamrot but that was already an indicator for his skillset
In 13 months Gane has had 6 fights, 4 of which are main events and 3 of which were against champs or title challengers. Definitely on track to be the best HW ever
Can he atleast wins the title first?
"best hw ever" you talking like he's already won the belt and defended it a few times in dominant fashion. can we stop overhyping fighters before they have proven themselves now?
@@andy5570 "on track to be"
@@andy5570 he has proven himself... this isn't Khamzat. Gane has beat 4 top 10 guy in a span of 9 months. JDS, Rozenstruik, Volkov, and Lewis. If he beats Ngannou that's 5 wins in 13 months. No one has that kind of output at the top
@@andy5570 its basically already between Stipe, Gane and Ngannou, if you just look at the level of competition.
Huge wins this year for Meerschaert. Super impressive win over a big time prospect in Muradov then a come from behind victory over Stoltzfus to end the year. Much respect for bouncing back the way he did after the Khamzat fight.
Seriously, what an absolute warrior, might not make it look pretty but he gets it done.
He’s a vet
How was his win over Muradov “super impressive”??? Jesus. Have you people even watched the fight? He was a few seconds from getting finished and then proceeded to kick Muradov in the groin/and poke him in the eye, and the momentum just changed. If those two illegal shots don’t happen, he was getting TKOd.
@@Zach-bt2ky So coming back from the verge of being tko'd to finish your opponent isnt impressive? Yes I watched the fight and remember it clearly. You can say whatever you want about how you think the fight was going to end but the end result was a rnc for Gerald. Muradov is a beast so a win over him, especially a finish is huge for anyone. Stop hating on GM3.
UFC should do a "every fight that earn a 50k bonus of 2021" video, would be really cool seeing all the highlights of each bonuses
too long
so there's a fight of the night at every event on average 48 events a year, thats 48 fights in a single vid
maybe the best fight of every month
Anybody get 2 50k bonuses last year?
@@hatethetube46 Gamrot got bonus two times this year
Bruno Silva has some serious heavy hands.
Mans got some hammers for real
He is really good, but i hate that the UFC has Silva vs Alex Pereira lined up next. Both of those guys will be absolute studs in this Middleweight division. Silva should be fighting someone like Brad Tavares who is just outside the top 15, Then Pereira should be fighting like a Misha Cirkunov or a Zak Cummings, a UFC Vet, to get a solid name on his UFC resume. It's early to throw those to at eachother.
Gamrot vs gillespie would be a cool match up
@Eight Loco rafael is fighting rafael
Yanez vs O'Malley is gonna be massive in 2022
O’Malley won’t take that fight. He’s content fighting unranked nobodies
@@furhadnasserjah123 incredibly low IQ take
@Kberns because yanez isn’t ranked lol and he said he’s content fighting nobodies and won’t take that fight
@Kberns Paiva was ranked when the fight was signed.
The person that O'Malley is avoiding is Ricky Simon. Simon would put O'Malley to sleep, regardless if its a choke or a overhand right. Simon has top 3 KO Power in that division.
Mateusz Gamrot🔥🔥🔥
Guy is a beast 💪
Ciryl is so fast they have to slow him down
Gamrot. Remember the name.
That’s Belal’s nickname though… lol
@@YetisanMMA who?
In my kamaru usman voice; 'who??'

Shmata
GM3 bounced back from that Khamzat loss like an absolute boss 😎 you love to see it.
Mateusz GAMROT ! ! ! 💪💪💪💪💪💪
If you win 3 fights in the UFC you’re a good fighter, but to do it in a single year, that must be a godlike high, especially if you pull it off the way Gamrot did, remember the name
Remember when Kevin Holland won 5 fights in 2020? I hope he gets a good run together at welterweight.
Remember the name is belal not gamrot 😄
@@sukhdevr3489 I hope so he’s just so damn entertaining that win over Jacare was just legendary
@@sukhdevr3489 No offense to Kevin one of my favourites. But he fought a bunch of newcomers in that 5 fight winstreak. And some of them arent even in the UFC no more.
I don't like the fact that his fight with Diego Ferreira ended in an injury. He's lucky that happened because the fight was very competitive and he looked to be slowing down.
marina rodriguez potentially facing rose gives me goose bumps! so many fun match ups in the fly- and strawweights in 2022. people forget she only has one(1!) loss which was a split dec against cookie. a fight I clearly had her winning. she's ABSOLUTLY one to watch in 2022.
I love her striking such clean muay thai
That's a fight I wouldn't say I cba to, that's a solid straw weight clash.
She robbed Yan Xiaonan
Massive respect to Gerald
Glad people are talking about Gerald. Even I slept on his skills after Khamzat. Good for him and respect to that ground game 💪
Tuivasa dimming Greg Hardy's lights was thick. Then he follows that by literally folding Sakai.
Manon Fiorot is a BEAST 🔥
Bro can u imagine her vs rose🤯
3:51 even tho the ufc took the sound out we all remember Dan screaming for his life
10:08 Bisping: "Yeah... but toehold-shmoehold." *guy with toehold immediately taps* Gotta love Bisping lmao
Marina Rodriguez had 4 wins, she knocked out Ribas twice
UFC should make a video entitled "Every time Herb Dean danced the conga in the octagon, touched fighters for no reason and left everyone confused if he was gonna stop the fight or not"
Gamer !
4:44 Love the adjustment he makes here to get the finish. The transition from the traditional RNC to the gable grip finish slid his forearm into the perfect position! *chef's kiss
Gamrots only loss is another instance of great scoring
Yanez is a magician with the hands.
2:44 is the definition of knocking someone back awake. It's interesting to see this happen.
The best was suga sean vs almeida, you could almost hear the ref thinking to himself "come on, you gotta finish it! You gotta finis- oh my God he killed him"
big fan of islam and geralds 2021s. both 3 finishes in the year and both great ambassadors for exciting mma grappling
Damn! Anyone winning 3 fights in 1 year against UFC level fighters is badass! These men and women are awesome
Manon, Casey and Marina are all looking amazing. Stoked to see what these ladies will do in the future.
you mean ur stoked to see their only fans
Stoked for the yanez vs sugar show 💯💯
That knee to the liver... oof 👌
Can’t wait to see yanez get a ranked opponent his boxing is ELITE
Jason Herzog doesnt get enough credit. Imo the most consistently good ref in the UFC rn.
I agree, he's super consistent
@@AGC4 he's the most attentive, and his stoppages are down the split second proper. if were a fighter id ask for him every time haha
Islam vs Olivera makes sense. Khamzat knocked Gerald out with one punch is unbelievable. Casey O Neil in the same division as Valentina😅 Usman is the #1 P4P and champ for a reason, he beat up 3 killers in the same year. Not only that, Colby and Masvidal were both rematches.
Exactly! Islam V Oliveira is de new Khabib vs Ferguson
Great video! If you are reading this i am very sorry for interrupting you. I dont want to waste your valuable time but I just released the offical teaser for a short sport film. If you are not interested just continue scrolling thanks a lot
When you see the shots GM3 took from Muradov, who is a huge puncher, makes you wonder just how powerful Khamzat is (probably was an extremely well-placed shot too ofc).
imagine o´neil v fiorot..ooooooh lord that would be something!
Usman is not p4p number one at all he relies on size strength and peds. Volkanovski and yan are clearly better and more skilled not just juiced up power houses.
manon fiorot is quite possibly the biggest prospect and fighter to watch in 2022. should end 2022 in the top 5 by the looks of it.
Sabatini is one of the most slept on prospects right now.
I can remember we just watched Kevin holland beat Souza and went 5-0 in 2020 now we’re in 2022
Now THESE are TRUE warriors.
Lemos lost her last fight. No one else other than 2 of the judges thought she won... Shambolic scoring in that event
Disagree. Angela Hill is a hurry up and do nothing kinda fighter. I can’t even give her the benefit of the doubt going into these decisions because it’s not like she has a history of breaking opponents or dominating. Lemos on the other hand pushes the pace, got knockdowns, and otherwise landed the heavier shots throughout only 3 rounds.
Awesome compilation! Definitely will be the crew carrying that momentum to 2022
Only 1 champ on this list. Mental year
Can't wait for Gamrot to climb the ranks.
Mateusz Gamrot 🔥🔥🇵🇱
Dude how many times is Herb Dean going to touch a fighter to not have it end? Come on dude. Jason Herzog is the goat of ref's atm.
Can’t criticize him it’s waycissss
best ufc video of the year!
Usmans the man for three title defenses in one year
I love seeing Gerald make the comeback he has after losing to khamzat and that loss really shows how good khamzat is as well I would love to see them both maybe meet up again sometime in the future.
I doubt Khamzat and GM3 ever fight again in the future.
You never know and none of us can truly predict the future. Like if khamzat somehow magically loses his next few fights and Gerald keeps winning.
ufc channel is on fire recently
The UFC content game is absolutely incredible
I love those kinds of video
That pumps u up man!!!
just a big thank you to the ufc shadow team doing their best to bring the community to life, thank you.
Gamrot has also beaten Khamzats friend but got unlucky with some blind/dumb judges in his debut. Smh
Nah...he lost that fight.
@@derekd7756 Khamzat’s friend even called out the judges at the end of the fight and said there was no way he won that fight
@@derekd7756 listen, i've a huge respect for my Orthodox Christian brother but he definitly lost that fight..
Love that the UFC evolves into earlier stoppages by the referees and that the younger generation of fighters wait for the reaction of their opponents after a severe knockdown before ground and pound and hammerfists. Keeps them all healthier and in the sport for longer without unnecessary brain damage.
Yes I agree with the fighters knowing when to stop unlike dirty fighters like francis that keeps hitting knocked out opponents
Don't forget that Jon Jones won Adesanya vs Blachowicz, Adesanya vs Vettori and Blachowicz vs Teixera
Under rated comment right here.
22y watching combat sports and it just gets better And better
Yep it was an awesome year to be a fan of the UFC.

What a comeback year for Meerschaert!

GM3 getting 3 subs this year was cool to see.

10:35 goddamn all of Silva’s finishes were straight up murders wtf!!
Tempted to pick him to beat Alex Pereira
Wow. Brutal ground and pound 10:35
That kid daniel Rodriguez can crack !! Wow !
Lemos second finish was so weird. Maybe the other girl got back up because it was called, but she looked like she was 100 percent good to keep going.
She wasn't, she still though the fight was going after the ref stopped It
Yeah it was an early stoppage. Same with Jacoby and Stewart
She was super out of it, she had no idea where she was while the ref was talking to her.
