I would agree but Dana just made a good point. If Jon and Masvidal signed a legal contract less than a year ago and then come back asking for more, it sounds like they need to read before signing. We learn that shit when you get your first bank account let alone a contract for your career.

@Ragnar - so they’re sole proprietors/self employed but in their independent contracts - there are many stipulations outlining that they can only fight under the UFC banner and they would breach said contract if they disobey what they’ve put their signatures on - which would result in getting sued. I’m assuming all this but it sounds right 😆

It's not very often when I'm on Dana's side when there is an issue involving him and fighters. And it's happening again now with this whole fighters pay issues especially with Masvidal. I'm massive fan of him but lately he talks like he's demanding money with same amount Khabib and Conor are getting from UFC, while disregarding the fact that he's not the actual champ and he'd only been in one main event ppv in his career. He doesn't deserve it just yet.
Dana is amazing, and the best at his job. Not sure anyone can ever replace him. That said, the fighters are massively underpaid and a fighter pay revolution seems to be on the horizon.

what are you talking about? The UFC gets paid an amount equivalent to 500,000 PPVs by ESPN for every PPV. UFC on their own never sold that many PPVs unless there is a famous person like Conor, Diaz, Khabib, Jones on the card. Just look at their PPV numbers when other champions like henry, Usman, Tyron, whittaker, holloway, nunes, valentina, stipe, jj, adesanya, and a million others headlined their cards. Most of the UFC's income now is a steady income with all the deals they have made with various businesses. These excuses they have been making for years are pathetic.
