"Amanda lost the hunger" "She sounds desperate" "Gonna quit again" She's obviously the better fighter by far. That's what happens when you get complacent. She proved alot of haters wrong
Amanda "The Lioness" Nunes
She was barely getting off COVID and was coming off an injury in their first fight.
She did lose the hunger, its natural for all champs. Thats the hardest part of being a champ.
Correct lmao. Amanda didn't even train for that first fight as well you could've seen it.
Amanda did lose the hunger in the first fight though. She deserved the loss because it motivated her again for this.
She took her loss like a real champ and came back to reclaim her belt. Amazing fighter and attitude in her wins and in her defeats.
They know will be match 3 and 3rd salary... No reason to be sad for everyone. It's business baby.
Amanda is dominated Julianna. Julianna is BLOODY MESS
Her and Khabib are the same type of warrior, all class...and all results
This is a real champion. When she lost she congratulated her opponent. She worked harder to get her title back. She didn’t hide and sulk in the corner. Congratulations Amanda. 👊🏾
Clearly the G.O.A.T. and one of the best examples of a champion in and out of the cage
Nunes has officially beaten every single former women’s BW champ. She came back and dominated every single round. She faced adversity in the first fight and came back and put on an absolute dominant performance and she with out a doubt is the GOAT. Its not over when you lose, its over when you quit.

Fantastic fight! That is the best I’ve ever seen Amanda Nunes in the octagon. Massive respect to Julianna Peña for not quitting and going the distance, but that was absolute dominance from start to finish!
Pena was on her way to an arm bar finish. Nunes was just trying to survive. No finish = not dominated. There needs to be a third fight. Pena finished Nunes. Nunes is a joke if she doesn’t give her a rematch after not being able to finish Pena. She was scared of those arm bars.Nunes just wanted2survive

What Amanda did here is Historic! Usually when a young fighter beats an older fighter in the rematch the younger fighter wins again , only quicker. Amanda showed how mentally strong she really is. She is truly the best female fighter the sport has ever known. Lets see the trilogy.
She's 2 years older lol

Let's be real though. She was coming off of a knee injury and covid so it wasn't just a lack of motivation. She took a fight at a time when anyone shouldn't take a fight.

UFC commentary made it sound like it was a close split decision... Julianna is tough AF but Nunes showed her why she is considered the WMMA GOAT
with 5 losses to tin cans
Not really, it was pretty clear when the fight was over that Nunes was getting the belt back. The only question was what scorecards the judges would have in favour of Nunes. She won and in largely dominant fashion, but you have to give props to Pena. She wins a Diaz-esque moral victory in defeat, take that what you will.

As mentioned by George St. Pierre in his interview "One has to be Mentally Strong and Hungry To Re-gain / Retain the Championship Tittle", Amanda exactly showed her purpose to be at Octagon !!! From pre-Fight Conference, Face-Off Till the Last Championship Round !!! Her every single action was evident to her purpose... To Become the Champion again !!! Really appreciate the way Julianna fought till the last round. But despite her best grappling attempts in Championship Rounds, She had clearly been outmatched by Amanda 👈 Amanda almost KNOCKED her down 3-4 times with her Left Hook, and that made easy to predict WHO'S GONNA BE THE CHAMP !!! Cheers to both Julianna for her fighting spirit till the end, And to Amanda, For her actions to mark The Righteous Statement again!! Who's The Lioness of UFC 👊🏼 WELL FOUGHT LADIES !!!👍
That was the most competitive 50-43 I have ever seen. They put on a hell of a show. Also gotta give Pena respect for absorbing all those powerful shots
Staying conscious while being eaten alive isn't competitive. She didn't even get 1 round. Props to her for going out on her shield though, I can respect that.
@@reignxlpoetry8858 She was competitive. She threatened Nunes with subs.
The only way it was competitive is because Peña didn’t quit. Aside from that it was total and complete dominance in every facet in every round. Nunes made a point to let it go 5 rounds to show the gas tank and to fight in all ways to show her skill. Unreal
That chin is shot whoever she fights next i see that person winning Amanda hit her with some shit both fights
Yea something has to be said about having ground control for three rounds and going to decision. Nunes dropping Pena 3 times in 1 round was a solid 10-8 but no other round was if you follow the logic that Nunes should have finished her with over 50% ground control time. 50-44 is accurate but 50-43 is just to make Nunes look good again. This wasn't more dominant than GSP vs Serra 2, for example

I sincerely think Amanda underestimated her opponent in the first fight and came in underprepared because she expected an easy night out. She came in locked in and ready and showed that the first fight was a fluke. Respect on learning from her mistake
Yes, agree
I don’t think she under prepared she was coming off Covid and I can say from experience that shit sticks with you even after you get better. The first fight she didn’t even look remotely close to this night. Further proof that pena was coasting by sheer luck that night her striking is horrible and her wrestling is average at best she just got lucky the first fight third fight would go just like this one
No fluke. Just accept the reality that she lost.
@@carphucker2973 fluke asf
The first fight was not a fluke, Pena surprised Nunez an won that. The 2nd fight Nunez fought smarter and knew what to expect while Pena fought foolishly by doing exactly what Amanda predicted she would do an she still came a hair of losing on a armbar sub. If Pena will focus on her sneaky ground game and keeping Amanda off her feet where she's most dangerous and Amanda focuses on staying on her feet and not attempting any foolish takedowns I can see a 3rd fight going either way.

She looked amazing. But i kind of think COVID might have permanently messed up her gas tank and im scared for her to fight in the future I hope she’s 100%. But she looked afraid to stand by the end of the 3rd. Most likely because how tired she was. Never seen her be like that. She’s a high IQ champion and she was clapping pena on the feet. It would have to be a serious problem for her to decide to take her down for the second half of the fight and actively risk losing, when she had a CLEAR path to a stoppage on the feet. The two or three times they stood in those last few rounds, Amanda looked like standing was not an option for we in her mind. Maybe she had an injury or sumn

She did surprise the hell out of Amanda and beat her in that first fight, that was no fluke. @@alexmorelos3460 that can be taught. Having heart like that is not.
@@randlemarsh with her years of training and experience, doesn't seem like she's learned much except for leaping in with your eyes closed throwing punches while her elbows are parallel to her shoulders. But you are right heart cannot be taught and she definitely has it
@@alexmorelos3460 damn you really gottem
You can only defeat Pena on points or by submissions. That's a fact. Pena basically awaits till you go out of gas
unreal. she is so far the female GOAT and now in top 5 title fights and first female. stoked!
Not really, shevchenko beat Pena in 2 rounds just to clarify lol
@@0326Vet There will be a trilogy. Now it's clear when both Nunes and Shevchenko have no real challenges in their weight classes. Shevchenko improved so much since their first fight, but Nunes as well.
@@luzyddreym Shev had her most difficult fight her last go she's gonna rematch her most likely
Shevchenko
@@ankeviousoliver4472 yeh trilogy between them for sure.
This was simply going to be an all-out war! Beginning with the TUF faceoff, through the embedded series, into the press conference and final faceoff, both of these warriors knew there wasn't going to be any retreat or surrender - they both lived it in that cage! Even though it was the only bout on the main card that didn't end in a finish, I am seeing it seriously contending for the Fight of the Year award.
Why put a young kid in there, she obviously doesn't want to know anything from her? What time is it anyway..? Backfired
Respect to Penna too she's a warrior 🙏👌🏾 And man oh man Amanda is another beast what a fight Makes history again Congratulations to both of them for their accomplishments
She's tough but has atrocious striking lol bit her heart is definitely getting her places
@@alexmorelos3460 I watched the fight twice illegally and Pena actually landed some good punches in the first (obviously she lost every other round) but the way she puts her head off the center and sticks that jab is pretty nice Also her looping punches aren't too bad she is a former champ after all
@@josiahgonzalez942 Pena strikes like she's doing to lean like a cholo dance, elbows up start to strike. Horrible display of striking, but she can take a beating that I sure as hell can't lol
I had the Nunes fight with 4 10-8s, I thought the referees didn't accurately portray just how 1-sided that fight truly was. She annihilated Pena from start to finish.
Beat her in every aspect of the fight. Pena flopping around on the floor , grabbing gloves desperately trying to get a submission felt so go.. The commentary is shyt like always .. I usually mute it, but tonight I wanted to hear them on Moreno and Nunes. I was reminded why I mute it
@@thealarmclock9307 more people need to hear this take because it’s the total truth
Casual 😂
referees? don’t u mean the judges?
@@thealarmclock9307 I mean Peña did have a decent armbar attempt, but yeah you’re right, the glove grabs on those omaplata attempts were pretty obscene, so bad the commentary team even called it lmao. The glove grabs are the only reason I could possibly see more than maybe 1 or 2 10-8 rounds though. 4 is excessive.
It was all hype like I said. Pena knew nunes was suffering from covid like everyone else n challenged her because she knew she would win but fighting Amanda with no covid symptoms PENA did absolutely nothing at all. With her running in combo with her chin up. Pure comedy everyone gave her so much hype for even challenging a fighter suffering from covid n not at 100% shows her true character n I'm glad amanda embarrassed her like that
Both good fighters Both tried so hard ... Thankyou 😍
I'm watching ESPN now and I can't find any commentary on this fight. So strange that after Pena won last time, ESPN interrupted in to bring a special announcement that Amanda had lost!!!!!! This time they're as quit as a pin drop? Anyway, I hope this performance by Amanda will silence those critics who say that she cannot fight 5 rounds and that she will quit once she discovers that her opponent can take her heavy handed blows. Amanda dominated this fight
