Most people are blaming Romero for this passive fight, but Israel showed major flaws in his game. He is a counter striker with minimal offense. We cannot really blame Romero alone for not running into Izzys counters and gassing himself. Both fighters are to blame for this. But here is what I tell people who think Joanna won that fight. If you can, find a way to ask Joanna if she'll take that fight again. I'm sure Weili takes that fight in a heartbeat because that wasn't even her best performance. And the other thing I ask people is this, why do fighters protect their face with their hands and they do not protect their legs for example or even body when they fight? It's because in a striking contest, the face is the most important target. Now, that strike counter graphic that was shown at the end of the fight, showed Joanna finished with 50 body strikes, 30 more than Weili (I challenge you to look for these 'bodystrikes' in that fight. You will struggle to find even 20). Joanna also had like 15 more legstrikes (most of which once again, are almost completely ineffective. Most leg kicks that are counted, barely even touch someone). Weili landed 104 headstrikes (most of which were BOMBS) while Joanna finished with 75 headstrikes. Joanna deep down, doesn't want to hear any of that nonsense because she wouldn't want to be in there again with Weili. Unless Dana maybe puts something like $2 million in her account upfront. Which I don't think Dana would pay.
