Marquez slowly firstly getting out of the choke and the takedown, then standing up over the course of what it feels like hours, with Haws on his back, breaking contact then plowing the dude in red is one of the most epic moments I've seen in contenders in a very long time!
You are one top-flite, all class, 100% bad-ass. Just awesome, Julian. That is what a man is and what a man does.

Hawes fought too much for the takedown even though he was winning in the stand-up in Round 1. Should have stuck to elbows and knees. Great job by Marquez in capitalizing on Hawes' recklessness in Round 2 to gain top position, solid ground and pound and a pinpoint accurate head kick the second he got off his knees.

That was less cardio and gasing then it was energy conserving did you see the first round , they jsut went ham, just need to conserve more theyre cardio is probably good.
The fight was probably taken on short notice first of all, and second he's got lots of time to improve his cardio, and if he does that, than he's got a bright future, he defended the choke well and has significant striking skills. I suppose people will always find SOMETHING to nitpick about though.

I never thought MMA would gain this much fame,and the fighters have taken it to a level un heard of,1980 I was 7 my dad had a Vietnam veteran friend who was a life long MMA guy mostly kick boxing and 4 days a week he trained me he passed away when I was 17 but I continued training even adding jujitsu in and boxing and continued all the way till I turned 35 and with all that experience I have I wouldn't even consider fighting one of these modern fighters,they have advanced the art so much it's insane
