I'm not mad at the stopage, probably the person who is angrier at the stopage is the fighter, and I get it. Imagine training your ass off for weeks just to lose in a way were think you MIGHT have recovered. And honestly dude I respect fighters a lot for that shit, you gotta have massive balls to enter an octagon, and a lot of resolve

  • Those saying "early stoppage" don't know how reffing works. Refs are trained to not only recognize how hurt a fighter is in the moment, but to gauge how competitive a fight is as a whole. Birchler was essentially a durable punching bag for the entire fight. And aside from having a puncher's chance, he was being outclassed. Good stoppage.

    • Cabesian he's a bit of a tweener. He'd be a big middleweight but he's a bit small for light heavy. He's pretty quick and light on his feet though which can be an advantage against bigger slower guys. I'm not sure on his grappling credentials, but against elite wrestlers he may be overpowered. Pros and cons

Love it when a Commentator is saying a fighter needs 2 do more to win a round....then they do a knock out move, fight stopped, Commentator suddenly stumbles back wards trying to patch up their unwise words, now they are presented with a win from the so called 'under dog'....BRILLIANT I love it!

  • bias announcers much? dang they where talking shit the whole time and birchler was walking onto the jab or right hand and then taking a step back with his head up and they didn't say a thing. Other guy was using great footwork in order to not get pinned. And they praised the wrestler for not wrestling... IDK man seems like these guys shouldn't be calling fights. And they even where talking shit about the stoppage.

    • Chance some people bleed easily, look at the tale of the tape and see how much scar tissue each has on their eyes and you’ll see why he bled more. He landed cleaner shots more often and at a higher pace with more power. I mean he also would’ve merked birchler If it wasn’t for that great stoppage

  • I love they teach you that hiss to exhale when you strike in elementary school striking and some people dont adapt it into they're game they just keep hissing every punch and in a long form fight it can really limit your output and people can read that like a book.

  • i watched that stop at 25% speed. he yelled "stop!" and you can see crute's whole body shift in a microsecond, raise a few inches and lift that kick. such control!
