  • I think Izzy threw something like 100+ punches that completely MISSED. You don't throw 100 punches by mid-fight if you're moving slowly. Strickland was just rolling his shoulders like a true striker, head movement and defense was next level and Izzy got more and more frustrated. The "moving slowly" defense is just making excuses for a loss. He wasn't prepared to fight a brilliant counter-striker and tactician.

    • @@blaisdelldavid10 His win/loss record is actually better. The only reason people think Izzy will beat whoever they put in front of them is because people keep going in there and making mistakes against him, like they're all really stupid or something. I imagined Strickland not protecting his head at all and he did a decent job at keeping his hands up but what really helped was the constant pressure but not brawling, and I keep wondering why NONE of Izzy's previous opponents would pressure him or if they did it'd be reckless. Even the wrestlers would not pressure him. Most of these middleweights are dumber than Izzy, I'm glad Strickland isn't.

    • If he rematch Izzy as first defense, he's going to lose, IF the real Adesanya still in there, and shows up. But damn, what a performance by Strickland. Izzy without his kicks is not the same fighter when he has range to work with. Sean emphatically broke Izzy and even at the end of round 5 izzy displayed zero urgency in finishing sean in fact he tried to ride the time out while sean taunted him. Congrats to Sean and Izzy will be back, but he definitely doesnt deserve a title rematch.

    • Not really. Alex Periera already did it and Sean basically did the same but without knocking Izzy out. But hats off to Sean, a better champion he will be.

    • He tried to whisper a bribe to Dana too. He was so confident in the recent rigging system of making whoever they want champ that he actually felt comfortable doing nothing in the fight. So I really think he might deserve that L

    • Izzy was stiff and way off, his long reach had no reach because sean actually evaded and blocked all those kicks. When sean countered with a right hook and bam down goes the champ. I think some of these trend followers need to stop riding on Izzy for the clout, he's a great fighter but look at what happened tonight absolutely dominated! 😁👌

  • Sean is one of the hard-core fighters, straight warriors in the cage and that makes him very likeable. We know we're going to get a good fight from the likes of Sean, Max, Justin, and Dustin. Always love to see it.

  • I normally hate Eugene, but tonight he represented himself well. He didn’t make stupid excuses like Dana and the dumb reporters. Izzy was at his 100%, Sean was at his 100% and Sean dog-walked Adesanya🔥

    • These types of comments are so dumb. What do you think Eugene would do here? Ofc he is gonna represent himself with class but he is NOT this usually. Kape called out the bullshit some of us with eyes knew. The rematch is NOT the fight to make. DDP deserves the shot.

  • Izzy said after doing his strength and conditioning training that he was stronger faster and hitting harder than ever. All credit to Strickland he fought the perfect fight. Stayed chin tucked and tight defense shoulder rolled and made Izzy miss all night that would have been frustrating and tiring punching air. Sean's cardio was amazing Izzy was dripoing after round 1 Sean was still dry after 3 that speaks volumes for his cardio and conditioning also makes it hard to find openings on someone that doesn't get tired because they make far less mistakes. Sticklands countering was superb but thats not unusual for him he always has great punches in bunches. He fought the perfect fight and was reminiscent to Volkonovski using his timing to interupt any of Izzy's offence.strickland cutting off the ring putting Izzy on the back foot making him move backwards and fight with his back against the cage. Even when he hurt Izzy he never overcommited and left no openings. Strickland fought the perfect fight.
