  • Gotta respect Cory’s honesty when he admitted he didn’t think he did enough to win, most probably wouldn’t be willing to be that candid. Great competitor and humble guy.

  • 2-2 going into the fifth round . Cory definitely won the round if by patti-cake! Tan on the other hand when he did connect was punching with authority! Judges gave it to Tan in that you have to TAKE THE TITLE AWAY, not just stand with the champ! Great fight but all Cory had to do was increase the power up a notch when touching his face!!! Good fight!!!

    • No chance Cory won round 2. Yan landed way more clean strikes, all of Cory's were soft, pokey strikes to the guard of Yan, save for a few. i'll take a clean cross to the face over 10 jabs to the face any day.

    • Many argue that he was robbed against TJ (I personally don't think so but that's neither here nor there). He definitely lost this one but there's no shame in losing to Petr Yan. Cory fought very well in both fights, definitely one of the best fighters in the division.
