    • A lot of Aus Nz fans are fans of the sport first because there wasn't many home grown fighters. I was at the first Brisbane fight night when Rua beat local Te Huna and the amount of respect shown before and after the fight was awesome. Something not all countries do so it stood out.

    • Love him as a commentator and an analyst, rooted for him in all his fights, but man....this night I became a fan, you know? Had the balls to take on a killer like Hooker and travel half a world away to challenge him on his home turf. Then he gives us a 25 min all out war, because he wanted to give a better life to his daughter. Real dude right there, no wonder the whole stadium cheered for him even though he was fighting their guy.

  • I’m curious so getting a takedown makes such a huge difference but the other 5 that he stuffed doesn’t really matter Paul stuffed him repeatedly yet he gets one takedown with absolutely no damage behind was literally holding on for dear life makes that big of a difference? Wow

  • Felder got up from the final two takedowns in the span of 15 seconds and it was from the hardest positions? He wasn't favoured for that at all? Hooker was wasting time. What a robbery.

    • and Dan was stalling with underhooks. I had Felder winning 49-46. 1, 3,4,5. The only round he lost was the 2nd IMO. He was the one fighting. Hooker was just potshotting and running away. The difference between Paul landing and Dan landing was telling. Look at Dan's weak ass leg kicks too.

  • Felder got robbed! He's higher on the stats in every department except legs. Even the commentators said Dan wasn't doing damage with the takedown and is gonna try to stay on top to look good for the judges.

    • Yes the problem is that two judges scored the 4 and 5 round to felder and the 1,2 and 3 to hooker. This is so awful because felder clearly won the second round.

    • Hooker was just touching Felders legs after the first round and everytime he did Felder replied with a thunderous leg kick in return. Round 2 on wards Hooker pretty much ran, got significantly out struck and hugged in rounds 4 & 5. Daylight robbery.

  • Riddell does effective striking despite being wrestled to shit, judges give it to him. Felder pieces up Hooker for three rounds, gets taken down once, judges give it to Hooker.

    • Agree 100%. Riddell dropped Mustafaev once which made more of a difference though. Hooker landed one takedown after getting stuffed a bunch of times. Proceeds to display zero control, no gnp, no sub attempts with Felder getting back to his feet in 15 seconds and gets a W. Control and intention of finishing the fight should def be more of a criteria imho.

And Hooker won the last round by edging him out with the takedown, and landing more powerful strikes It's beyond me why people think it's a robbery.

  • The words shared by these great warriors is what I personally love about this sport as opposed to all others. I grew up wrestling and we always shook hands before and after a match, along with the opposing coaches at the conclusion. Most of the time it was because that's just what was expected of us. Lots of times didn't really feel a desire to do so but did anyway because I felt the expectation to do so. This Show of Respect of these opponents Reins Supreme in my opinion...
