  • Anthony Smith has won me over as a fan. He comes off so genuine and honest. I understand what Dom was saying but you cannot tell someone else what motivates them. Jon may felt he was not motivated to fight him no one is in his mind. I remember when Nunes loss to Peña she was recovering from covid and had major life changes. She may not have been motivated or just loss no one will know but her. However when she returned she found something that helped her reclaim her belt. It’s harder to stay at top than getting to top

  • Jon didn’t choose to fight Rashad. Jon got the title fight with Shogun because Rashad was hurt. Their timelines eventually crossed because they both wanted to be champions. It was inevitable.

    • I hate how people try to change history lol. Yes Rashad was the #1 contender after Jones won it from Shogun. But he still chose to say he would fight Rashad before discussing it with him. It likely would have been the opponent anyway, but he definitely did choose to fight him by saying it first.

  • I feel for Dom man. Him and Cody Garbrandt have very similar careers. Cody specifically trained early in his career to defeat Cruz’s style and Dom did the same for Jones. They were never able to adjust and I think that’s why they really fell off after their championship fights.
