UFC Decade in Review - 2013

2024 ж. 16 Мам.
1 984 867 Рет қаралды

Look back at the decade that was! We turn back the UFC clock to 2013 and a new era in the promotion's history as the first ever women's champion, Ronda Rousey, arrived and became a global superstar. Also, an Irishman known as "The Notorious" made his debut and the then-undisputed GOAT lost his crown.

    • @Alex Jones What happened to Ronda? She got a bunch of lucrative offers that won't leave her a vegetable and is living happy in her million dollar ranch. By the way, Travis was proved innocent and that his gold digger ex made the whole thing up. Holly doesn't even have a boyfriend at right now cause her husband dumbed her loser fluke ass. Ronda coped with real fights much better than Buster Holm. Ronda at least kept the belt more than a second.

Ur mad asf she was the greatest and until a girl stays undefeated 12-0 with all first round finishes except 1 3 round finish but very early in the round, she was the greatest. • If Rousey only went with an actual legit coach, I think she could of became more of a killer than what she was. Just perfect her technique (straighten out her form), add some Muay Thai style kicks, her head movement wasn't good, but she could've just substituted it with some good blocking skills and covering up well, a good guard. Also work on smoothing out her footwork and creating angles. She could've worked on a Randy Couture Style clinch game. Imagine if Ronda would have developed some heavy ass body kicks! 😯 She had a great chin too, taking those shots from Nunes and not getting knocked down, Nunez Ko'd Cyborg with punches. She was also athletic. She was in a way, Wasted potential. Could've been Greater..

      @markb35@markb354 жыл бұрын
    • @RCP Pilot Technically true, but we shouldn't stop questioning judges, they've screwed many fighters before. Those two fights could've gone either way, Jones won the toss-up because the commission sent the "right" judges (from his perspective) to the fight. When a fight is that close, luck in that regard becomes an undeniable factor

She was the personality and the talent that fueled women's MMA. She is the reason that the title was a "big deal" in the first place. The women knew the arm bar was coming. They practiced the defense for months, and they still could not prevent it. Remarkable.
