It's a fight that shouldn't be happening, Beneil has already earned a title shot and is getting screwed by even having to fight Charles first. They're keeping them both in a holding pattern in case they find a way to slide Conor into another title fight.

If he beats Oliveira, good for him, but Makhachev is just too good of a wrestler/grappler and he's more technical on the feet. And no matter how great Oliveira looks against Dariush, he's getting the same treatment in a rematch with Makhachev.
