Edson must know something the other fighters don’t if he says the “low leg kick is easy to defend” because we haven’t seen a lot of strategies recently to defend it effectively. That’s a scary quote from him, legend 💯.

Don't know about easy to defend part but getting shin checked should be extremely painful. There is video of gaethje teaching a guy how to defend calf kicks. If someone checks it like that perfectly, that would be the end of your kicking game.

It’s way easier to check a calf kicks, to check upper leg kicks you to be faster and raise your leg more

Been watching MMA for 27 years. Edson's KO highlight reel is one of the best I've seen. Salute
this man not just fights, He READS his opponents perfectly and thats why he is certain that his kicks are surefire finishers. This guy just knows WHEN to kick and he trained to be lightning fast. kick at the right time and kick at insane speeds are these two factors that turn him into a literal UFC assassin.

We took our son and his friend to a UFC fight night, at BB&T in South Florida…2017 or 18 maybe….you didn’t fight that night but Edson - you were there. My son saw you walking by, said your name- you turned and I took a picture of you with him. He has never forgotten that moment as it was spontaneous and unexpected. Earlier and outside, he’d met Jorge and Dustin….that was all we thought would happen that night. Thank You.❤️
